Tom Cole is an up-and-coming pilot from Bristol and a member of the Flybubble Team. He completed his CP in December 2014 and ever since being exposed to Cross Country flying his obsession has grown.
I fly to experience the pure joy and complete freedom that normally doesn’t present itself in day to day life. Every flight is a challenge and a new learning experience and the more I indulge in the sport the hungrier I am for knowledge. Flying means everything to me!
Tom was an enthusiastic member of the Avon BCC team which kickstarted his career in XC flying. Whilst flying for the team he learnt the basic skills needed to complete big flights.
More recently Tom was selected for the British Paragliding Racing Academy where he is being mentored by Britain’s best pilots to improve his cross country flying and race at a competitive level around the world.
He can be found chasing potential XC days across the South West and Wales and likes flying thermic conditions, cursing under cloud streets and getting high in the flats.
