  1. Low & Under from High & Over

Low & Under from High & Over

By Carlo Borsattino, CFI of Flybubble Paragliding. The wind forecast was for light south easterlies, and the thermal forecast was looking good, so we went to SHGC flying site High and Over, near Seaford, hoping to fly and maybe even...
  2. Foot or Flybubble 2012

    Foot or Flybubble 2012

We invite you to take part in the inaugural Foot or Flybubble Challenge!

Using only your feet or your wing, link every SHGC launch site in the closed circuit. Any day in July counts, between sunrise and sunset. The best attempt wins (longest then fastest around the course).

It's like the X-Alps, only there's no Alps, and it's not nearly that X.

It's a great opportunity to learn about the Southern sites, to discuss the route choices, share tips, speculate and of course attempt your own inspiring flights and applaud your friends!

Foot or Flybubble. Are you up for the challenge?

  10. Lovely little 25km FAI Triangle XC on a Paraglider from Mount Caburn

Lovely little 25km FAI Triangle XC on a Paraglider from Mount Caburn

The day after I got back from running a paragliding trip to Croatia, I had many things to do. However the weather decided to taunt me with looking really great for a cross country flight from one of our local hills, Mount Caburn near Lewes. Question was, as Joe and Mick famously wrote: "Should I stay or should I go?" Like the lyrics say: "If I go, there will be trouble." But then again they also then say: "And if I stay it will be double." This indecision's was indeed bugging me. So I decided to put things off for the day and go flying. The weather waits for no man, woman or beast, after all!
