Poland XC Competition

On the 11 of July 2010, during a local competition organized in Polish Beskidy Mountains, Henryk Zjawin (Boomerang 7) flew 142 km winning the event. There were many Polish top pilots present at the contest. Henryk choose a very unconventional line for his flight which turned out to work just fine. The second longest flight that day was only 75 kms. Henry proved his skills flying 228 km on the 21 of July....

Pre-World Championship in Piedrahita: Hou Xiangping wins!

Xiangping Hou, from People's Republic of China, flying a Niviuk ICEPEAK 4 NS has won the women's class in the Pre-World Championship, held in Piedrahita, Spain. The area, which is preparing to host the next world championship, offered to pilots from around the globe, the good conditions that normally occur in July.

Safety Note Paraglider Harness Woody Valley Bix

During a test release of the reserve parachute from a Woody Valley Bix harness, a harness defect was noted which prevented deployment of the inner container.

All owners of the Woody Valley Bix harness should make a test deployment of the reserve parachute from the harness before the next flight with the harness.

Should normal deployment not be possible, then the harness owner should contact the Woody Valley dealer whom they purchased the harness from immediately.
