Ikuma 2 P: plug into the adventure
Every moment counts
Performance and lightness go hand in hand in the Ikuma 2 P to ensure maximum fun both on the ground and in the air.
Everything under control
The simple handling of the wing translates into total accessibility that allows you to go beyond your own limits and exploit the full potential of the wing.
Agile, comfortable and safe
More agility that enhances the pilot's comfort and gives them the confidence and security needed to gain experience flight after flight.
Target & advantages
Progression
Complete your training with a wing that gives you the option to perfect your skills and gain confidence flight after flight.
Cross country
Complete your first long distance flights and do it under the safety and control of a high performance EN B wing.
Safe in every moment
- High passive safety due to Niviuk technologies so that the pilot feels confident and can enjoy every flight.
- The long brake travel allows the speed to be progressively reduced without the risk of stalling. Thus, the behaviour and comfort of the wing at low speeds is improved.
- The application of RAM technology guarantees a better absorption of any turbulence.
Advanced accessibility
- A more uniform and progressive inflation that makes take off easier and faster.
- A simple wing to fly with precise handling.
- A more progressive and rapid recovery after braking.
Superior performance
- Extra glide when using air movements as an energy source. It makes it easier to cut though and climb in different air masses.
- A faster glider (+ 4 km/h) with very efficient handling in thermals..
- Greater profile consistency across the speed range that delivers above-average performance.
Stability in flight
- A better balance in roll and pitch that ensures greater safety and comfort.
- A solid wing that will allow you to enjoy long flights without any worries.
Light by nature
- One of the lightest paragliders in its category, even in the serial version..
- The light (Plume) version is available as an ultra-light wing.
Ikuma 2 P in detail
New optimised profile
An improved load distribution over the entire wingspan increases the performance and aerodynamics of the wing.
New C2B system
This new integrated system on the risers allows a 3-liner to be flown as if it were a 2-liner. Steering with the C-risers automatically includes the B-risers and this helps the profile to keep its shape and offers a better flight behaviour during glide.
Four extra cells
Designed with 61 cells to provide solidity and more performance, based on a cleaner and more compact surface.
The perfect finish
A taut and clean leading edge (3DL and 3DP technologies) and a fully optimised trailing edge. This is combined with the use of Titanium Technology (Nitinol) to obtain a perfect profile in all circumstances.
Hybrid materials
Use of different weight cloth in the upper and undersurface with the aim of achieving the perfect balance between weight and durability.
Optimisation of the attachment points
New arrangement of attachment points to improve the force distribution and increase the solidity of the wing.
Features
RSD: Radial Sliced Diagonal
RSD (Radial Sliced Diagonal) technology improves the internal structure of the wing, incorporating different independent diagonal ribs oriented more efficiently, i.e. in the optimal direction of the fabric, improving the strength and reducing weight and deformation.
3DL: 3D Leading Edge
3DL technology is an adjustment of the fabric at the leading edge of the wing to control the ballooning and the creases that are generated by the curvature in this area. The leading edge is then divided into sub-panels which are sewn into each of the cells at the front of the wing. As a result, the leading edge of the wing is more evenly tensioned, which benefits the wing in performance and durability.
3DP: 3D Pattern Cut Optimization
This technology seeks to implement the best orientation of the cloth on each panel according to its location on the leading edge. If the cloth pattern is correctly aligned with the load axes, the cloth suffers less deformation flight after flight, so the leading edge keeps its shape better and maintains its durability over time.
DRS: Drag Reduction Structure
With the application of the DRS, the airflow at the trailing edge is directed more progressively along the adverse pressure gradient with the aim of reducing the aerodynamic drag produced in this area. This increases performance without compromising safety or control of the wing.
IKS: Interlock System
The IKS technology is an advance towards a greater lightness in wings and equipment, without losing effectiveness and providing the same degree of safety and strength.
RAM: RAM Air Intake
The Ram Air Intake system is characterised by the arrangement of the air inlets, to ensure optimal maintenance of internal pressure across the the whole range of angles of attack.
SLE: Structured Leading Edge
The SLE is a rigid structure located at the leading edge of the wing that eliminates the need for old-fashioned mylar reinforcements in this area, thus reducing the weight and increasing the durability of the wing. The leading edge will also have better turbulence absorbing qualities.
STE: Structured Trailing Edge
The STE provides a rigid structure at the trailing edge in order to maintain its shape in accelerated flight. In addition, the rigidity provided by these elements improves the load distribution, reducing wrinkles, and consequently drag, and therefore ensuring better performance.
TNT: Titanium Technology
Nitinol is a combination of 50% nickel and 50% titanium. This technology provides three outstanding benefits that increase the performance of the wing, compared to plastic rods.

Flybubble review
The Ikuma 2 P is Niviuk's lightweight version of the Ikuma 2.
Our review of the Niviuk Ikuma 2:
"We love the Ikuma 2. It's a fantastic all-round high-B wing with a character all of its own. It has a really solid, taught yet 'smooth' feeling to it, like a blade, solid all the way through, cutting through the air. It's quite exceptional like that in the class. The Ikuma 2 moves forward and cuts into thermals nicely, seeking out the best lift.
The Ikuma 2 has excellent performance for the class. It's quick at trim, with excellent glide and sink rate. The Ikuma 2 climbs exceptionally well, one of the best in the high-B class and competing well with the class above.
In terms of handling, the IKUMA 2 is a real pleasure to fly. For me, this is one of the nicest-handling paragliders around. It's got a really nice feeling on the brakes, and a nice precision.
One negative is that the Ikuma 2 has fully unsheathed lines (the same as most high-B wings).
Due to its relatively low pilot demands for the class, it's an ideal wing for a pilot flying a low or mid B wing looking for a nice progression up to a high B without being too much. Due to its excellent handling and performance, it's also a great choice for a pilot flying a C wing seeking higher comfort and safety without losing too much.
The Ikuma 2 is an exceptional high-B wing that has already made many pilots around the world very happy, and I'm sure will please many more."
