The Sirocco concept is one of the most exciting new developments in powered paraglider technology. This new wing is the first of its kind; a lightweight and low-bulk design for pilots who seek the ultimate in ease of use on the ground and agility in the air, with the speed and stability of a fully reflexed profile. With more than a decade of ultralight paraglider R&D behind it, the Sirocco’s ease of launch and unique flight characteristics make it a game-changer in the PPG world.
- The best launch characteristics of any PPG wing in its [class]
- Totally new concept in PPG
- Superb handling and agility
- Lightweight, low-bulk, highly portable
- High top speed, high ease of use
Paraglider pilots have long appreciated the benefits of lightweight equipment; with smaller packing volume, better portability, and seriously improved inflation behaviour, lightweight wings make many aspects of our sport easier, and more fun. For the first time, paramotor pilots can benefit from these desirable characteristics with a wing designed specifically for powered use – the Sirocco is a fully reflexed, light-weight paramotoring wing based on the successful Speedster. Weighing in on average 1.5 kg lighter (depending on size), the Sirocco retains the same levels of comfort, performance, speed and stability but with noticeably better handling and ridiculously easy inflation behaviour, especially in nil wind. It is suitable for a wide range of pilots from talented beginners to experienced XC pilots alike who are looking for a safe and fun, all-round wing.
Ozone has been at the forefront of lightweight technology for more than a decade, the knowledge learnt, along with the experience gained by our world championship winning paramotor design team has been fully incorporated into the design of the Sirocco. It is made from a hybrid mix of lightweight materials, intelligently employed in specific locations to optimise longevity and weight. Strong and UV resistant, Dominico N20D cloth is used in the critical leading edge area whilst the super light and long-proven Porcher Skytex 27gr is used in the rear part of the top surface and the entire lower surface. The risers feature the TST tip steering system; long range trim tabs, adjustable brake pulley heights, a huge accelerator range and Link Lites as standard. Link Lites are made from Dyneema and replace standard metal maillons to save a significant amount of weight. Such optimisations not only save weight but they also reduce packing volumes, and they do this without necessarily reducing the overall lifespan of the wing - if well cared for, pilots may not notice a difference relative to standard equipment.
In use, however, the differences are obvious - paramotoring equipment is heavy and any weight saving makes a difference, particularly in the sail. The reduction in weight allows for easier manoeuvres on the ground, making the preparation process easier and less tiring. When ready to go, the Sirocco is incredibly easy to inflate, requiring minimal riser input as it rises off the ground, above the pilot’s head without resistance, even in nil wind. It can remain overhead in lighter winds than a standard wing and the take-off speed is generally lower, requiring less engine power and a shorter runway.
Once in the air, the Sirocco is best described as efficient, light, and agile. Efficiency improves fuel economy and a lower brake pressure gives an overall light, comfortable feel, absorbing turbulence whilst retaining sensitivity. It is more responsive to brake inputs offering high levels of agility and the maximum amount of fun factor, perfect for pilots who want more from their wing.
The Sirocco is versatile, equally capable of long XC flights and low level ground skimming, it is ideal for females, older aged or less fit pilots, occasional weekend pilots or anyone who wants a wing with easier launch characteristics. Due to its portability, it is also ideal for traveling or bivouac flying adventures; shorter take-off distances will be appreciated on those less than perfect launch sites.
The Sirocco is DGAC certified and has been load tested to the EN 926-1 standard. Although it has not been certified in flight, the Sirocco retains the same behaviour as the Speedster which is flight certified EN C.

About Custom Colours
Ozone encourages you to customize your own personal colour combination for your wing. Customization generally incurs a small fee. Once you’ve decided you can send it to your local Ozone dealer to check if there is a charge and place the final order. Please note that because the glider will be built specifically for you in the Ozone factory, payment must be received before production can begin.
Fabric Colour & UV Resistance
All of the cloth that we use undergoes extensive testing in prototype colour phase to ensure colourfastness, mechanical stability, porosity, and general longevity before we put it into production. Once our cloth is in production, every meter of it is rigorously inspected upon arrival in our factory, and cloth which does not pass our stringent quality control standards is returned to the manufacturer. We are frequently asked, "Which colours last the longest, or have the best UV resistance?". All of the colours that we stock score between 4 and 5 on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being the highest possible rating for longevity.
