The result is a glider with exemplary handling, awesome in its ability to be positioned at will in the thermal. Feedback on the airmass provides the pilot with exactly what is required in order to exploit the lightest lift ; not too much or too little. The Taska’s handling is absolutely lovely. It has lighter brake pressure than Skywalk’s CAYENNE5, less physical to turn, with a nice precise feeling. The brake travel is shorter than the CAYENNE5, and the stall point less physical... which I found also allows for more finesse, less force. The Taska feels surprisingly cohesive for a wing with an aspect ratio of 6.35... The pilot demands are lower than other high Cs I’ve flown... especially in terms of pitch control and preventing collapses, but still with excellent performance. The speed system is light and effective, and the Taska is one of the most solid on full bar, feeling fast yet very secure. It’s also nicely pitch stable, and does not require lots of active input to fly... This makes it more comfortable and less tiring to fly in more active air. In all thermals including weak broken stuff and strong punchy cores the climb rate is very impressive; it goes up really well! Comparing the glide angle of wings... the Taska seems to be very competitive. Overall the Taska is a competitive modern high C wing, with lovely handling, well-balanced feedback, excellent climb and relatively low pilot demands. I'm very impressed! I must confirm a very tough leading edge when applying full bar! The Taska feels solid and the top speed is fully usable. But the Taska climbs efficiently... right on top of the C category for the climb rate! The Taska showed me a balanced behavior and an easy ride for the C category. Conclusion: I had fun flying the Taska. I felt that at 95 all up, i was still very efficient in climb. The Taska somehow felt comfortable for a 6.35 aspect ratio glider.
