Package
The LEAF-LIGHT is delivered with: inner bag, compression strap, pocket with repair kit, user manual (USB). NB: As it's a lightweight version of the LEAF, and individual requirements differ, Supair haven't included a rucksack with the Leaf-Light so pilots can choose the lightweight rucksack they prefer to go with it.
LEAF-LIGHT: go anywhere!
As a pioneer in lightweight equipment, Supair has applied all its know-how to the development of the LEAF LIGHT. The result is a 30% weight improvement on the standard version and one of the lightest gliders in its class. The optimisation of the design has enabled an improvement of up to 1.5kg* for each size.
The technical advances achieved have not compromised the quality of construction. The LEAF LIGHT retains the 3D shaping, Supair Smart Mini Ribs and sophisticated internal structure of the standard model.
The LEAF LIGHT offers all the flight characteristics of the LEAF, i.e. a glider accessible for any pilot flying EN B. The light fabric makes inflation even easier, without any tendency to pull the pilot off their feet.
Once in the air, the pilot will find the familiar comfort and gliding sensation of the original LEAF, with a slightly smoother feeling thanks to the light fabric. This also results in less inertia on the wing and even more docile behaviour. High passive safety means the pilot can concentrate on his flight plan or simply have fun in the air.
Excellent handling remains one of the glider’s hallmarks. Intuitive placement in the thermal and great manoeuvring means the pilot can make the most of the conditions. In transition the wing delivers a genuine gliding sensation. The light structure combined with high quality pulleys provide effortless acceleration.
Reduced weight and low packing volume make the LEAF LIGHT the perfect wing for travel and hike & fly. With a weight close to some mountain wings (light riser version), it will not burden the walk up and will offering much more performance once in the air.
The LEAF LIGHT is fitted with normal risers and soft links as standard, it is also available with dyneema risers for pilots who wish to save maximum weight.

Supair LEAF-LIGHT reviews
The Supair LEAF-LIGHT is the light version of the Supair LEAF.
The LEAF-LIGHT is just as lovely as the LEAF to fly. I'm very impressed by the light weight and low packing volume! Great for pilots looking for an easy all-round lightweight EN B wing.
- Nancy Elliott, Flybubble
I found the Leaf to be very easy and forgiving on the ground; easier than the 'high-B' wings I mostly fly.
The handling is easy and fun. I really enjoyed flying it! Neither too dampened, nor too lively.
I'd mainly recommend the Leaf to low airtime and intermediate paraglider pilots looking to step up from their first EN A or 'low B' wing, or even more experienced pilots wanting reassurance and confidence building - who don't want the higher pilot demands that comes with a high B or C wing.
I'd also recommend the Leaf to talented and ambitious new pilots, who perhaps have good relevant transferable skills from a similar air or wind sport activity, such as paramotoring, hang gliding, kite surfing or sailing.
The Leaf fits nicely into the higher end of the Progression Class, a fun yet reassuring mid-range B wing with good performance!
- Nancy Elliott, Flybubble (full review)
The take off is super easy... Inside the thermals, the Leaf... is a real pleasure!
The brakes are linear, precise and direct, delivering a superb maneuverability! I could place the Leaf exactly where i wanted even in the roughest of air. The Leaf reacts like an extension of the pilot arm. I re-discovered flying pleasure on board this colored ‘toy’!
Climbing... showed me an impressive climb rate... and in rough air I could out-climb easily many high end gliders. For sure the climbing ability of the Leaf puts it right among the top gliders in the mixed B category. Doing lots of glides I noticed a nice trim speed in calm air for the Leaf, slightly more than the Ozone Rush 4 [high B wing].
Conclusion: I enjoyed every second flying the Leaf. The climb rate and the handling will draw smiles bigger than the pilots faces ! ;-) The Leaf is a moderate B glider just in the middle of this huge B category. It is not a very low boring B nor a lively high B. It's a balanced well behaved mid B. I think the Leaf... was created... to deliver comfort, ease of use, excellent climbing, pleasure and a lovely handling.

The Leaf joins a very busy market with some great wings to compete with, but it is certainly capable of mixing it with the contenders in its class, such as the Buzz Z5 and Ion 4.
On the ground it’s as easy as anyone would wish with easy inflation combined with school glider behaviour. In the air it has easy thermalling and a solid stable feel with just enough energy thrown in to give it that fun factor.
This is all combined with confident cross-country performance that will grow with you. The Leaf’s stable feel on the bar as it cuts through the bumps will encourage you to make use of this important part of a wing’s range as you progress into longer flights.
For pilots out of school and with a few hours under their belts this will make a great wing to progress on. Sup’Air have designed it to last and it has the performance and the fun factor that will make you want to keep it for a few seasons.
Of course it would also make a good wing for those weekend warriors who find they just don’t fly as much as they used to and want something that still has performance but is safe and stable. It certainly left me with a good feeling.
