Lite Rescue Container
The Lite Rescue Container is a light front-mounted reserve parachute container. It is designed for paragliding harnesses without an integrated reserve deployment system, but can also be used by pilots who want to add a second reserve to any harness that lacks a dedicated front-mounted reserve compartment. Thoughtfully designed, the Lite Rescue Container is easy to handle and also functions as a mini cockpit for compact instruments such as a vario or GPS, thanks to the loop-fastener top panel. The Lite Rescue Container comes in two sizes, dedicated for Hike & Fly or for pilots who need a compact, light container for their reserves.
The Lite Rescue Container is only suitable for modern ultra-compact square reserves within the recommended volume range. It is not suitable for bulky or traditional round reserves.
Choose a container size suitable for your reserve parachute’s dimensions. Do not pack the parachute too tightly as this may affect opening time. If between sizes, go for the larger container. It’s not worth saving a few grams or having a smaller pack if this means a delayed deployment.
Connection to the harness
The Lite Rescue Container can be used with almost any harness. We recommend attaching the bridles directly to the main carabiners as this is the neatest solution. Alternatively, you can attach the bridles to dedicated shoulder attachment points if your harness has them and your bridles are long enough. Ensure the carabiner gates will not interfere with the bridle loops; you may need to reverse the carabiners’ orientation on the hang point to achieve this.
Reserve bridle connection
If you have a parachute with a short bridle, as almost all modern ones do, attach it to a reserve Y-bridle (not supplied) using a suitable connector (not supplied).
Downloads
Ozone grouped their rescue containers into a single user manual because they all have very similar requirements and closing processes.
