Soft dyneema connectors with locking aluminium toggle to connect the wing to the harness. Soft-Link connectors are excellent for weight saving, but also because they always work in any direction and they’re adapted to all webbing widths (unlike carabiners). AirDesign made them robust, and they’re easy to use.

These connectors are designed solely for use between the harness and a solo wing. They must not be used for any other application, such as reserve parachutes or tandem wing connections.

Soft-Link connectors are especially interesting for weight saving. But most of the time, pilots are afraid of them and get reluctant as the first ones on the market were not really user-friendly. Forget your preconceptions and fall for the new AD Connect. AirDesign made them as robust as they are easy to use.

Mounting

It’s easy, but you should be careful as you’ll be holding up your life to it. Pull back the neoprene sleeve. Push the toggle through the loop. Confirm that it’s 100% through by twisting it 90°. Push the neoprene sleeve back.

AirDesign recommend to keep the toggles behind the risers, and as close as possible to the harness loops (to avoid the risk of catching lines).
