The materials were chosen judiciously to be highly resistant to wear in the critical area, and we used as much Bluesign fabric as possible in the design.

Atak 2: A precision Speed-harness - in the air and on the snow
The Atak 2 is a purpose-built speedflying and speedriding harness, designed by top pilots and riders to meet the unique needs of our sport. It's ideal for all pilot levels and combines multi-season versatility with a lightweight, compact design.
The Atak 2 features the fastest and easiest attachment system we've ever used, with Ozone's signature "push-button" leg-strap connections, and an easy pass-through torso buckle.
The Atak 2 has finally solved the problem of "groin pain" while kiting and riding in upright positions, with a new anti-ball crusher bungee for each leg.
With its flexible design, it fits like a glove, adapting to a wide-range of pilot body-types.
Low hang-points and an innovative seat-geometry offer precise weight-shift inputs, and enable smooth transitions into an ideal flight-posture, comfortably settled at the back of the seat-pocket.
Harness Structure & Design
The Switch harness is a hybrid design, with a split leg & bucket seat combination for comfortable support and precise piloting. It is a smooth transition from running, kiting, or skiing, to seated flight. Easy-access side pocket, an out-of-the-way speed bar system, and the durable two buckle closure make it clean and easy to use.
The pilot
The Atak is suitable for all levels, from new pilots to expert speed riders. Its comfort during upright kiting sessions makes it an ideal choice for pilots investing in groundhandling training. The pilot will feel safer with the optional slim and light inflatable cushion (OzAir), which offers back protection not only in-flight, but also for ground training and aborted launches. It is a clean and comfortable design that we love for a wide range of applications.
The tech
The Atak incorporates multi-season versatility in a lightweight and compact design. In pack mode, it is suitable for long hike-and-fly or ski-touring ascents, and when unfolded for flight, the Atak becomes a low profile and compact harness for comfortable descents and easy chairlift rides.
The Atak offers the fastest and easiest attachment system we have ever used, with Ozone signature “push-button” leg-strap connections, and an easy pass-through torso buckle. Height adjustments at the hips keep flapping straps away from your face, and double-back hip-tilt adjustments eliminate slippage. In-flight storage includes a back pouch, a mesh-pocket for your stuff-sack, and a zipped hip-pocket for avalanche transponders or personal beacons.

Kiting and Speedriding
The Atak harness has finally solved the problem of ball-crushing (groin pain) while kiting in upright positions, and while Speedriding. Its innovative leg-strap geometry assures the harness remains comfortably seated against your thighs, rather than sliding into more tender areas. This same feature offers unparalleled precision when Speedriding, as the harness stays snug to your hips when navigating technical terrain.
In flight
The Atak’s flexible design fits your body like a glove and is adaptable to a wide-range of pilot body-types. Low hang-points and an innovative seat-geometry offer precise weight-shift inputs, and enable smooth transitions into an ideal flight-posture comfortably at the back of the seat-pocket. The harness also features a simple, minimalist Speedbar system for mini-wings and full-size gliders.
Protection
To compliment this unique harness, Ozone has designed the OzAir back-protection - a sleek new ultralight inflatable protector optimised for both advanced hike-and-fly expeditions, as well as high-wind soaring.
The sleek inflatable protector Ozone OzAir is an optional extra for the Ozone Atak 2 speed flying harness.
The OzAir weighs only 460grams, is certified at 31.7 g max. peak, and is quickly inflated prior to launch, providing protection even when navigating technical take-offs.
Its slim design also allows the full-sprint required under small wings, setting it apart from airbags of the past - and encouraging its use also by intermediate and advanced pilots.
Designer notes
I've designed the Atak harness with one clear focus: to give big-mountain Speedflyers exactly what they need; nothing more, nothing less. It's a specialized harness, ideal for experienced pilots, but also perfect for students and new pilots thanks to its inflatable protection.
Developed in close collaboration with top pilots, every detail serves a purpose, resulting in a minimalist, robust harness that feels natural and intuitive both in flight and while kiting.

Pilot Review
When pairing my harness with different backpack designs to match my missions, it became clear to me that we needed a light, modular harness that could easily swap between objectives. The Atak finally offers a single solution for all-season speedflying and riding. And at long last, it offers the first technology to specifically protect from the "groin pain" we've all experienced with other harnesses.
