Paragliding Reserve Parachute
The Rapid Inflation System (RIS) keeps opening time to an absolute minimum. Special bands around the base of the canopy take up an exact bending tension.
When the parachute is folded, the top band creates air channels which start the filling process in the first split seconds of deployment, significantly aiding opening behaviour. Despite the fast initial opening, the bands also ensure an exceptionally damped canopy deployment, keeping shock loads on the pilot and equipment to a minimum.
The PROTECT 3 RIS comes in L and XL sizes.
About Protect 3 Reserve Parachutes
The Protect 3 RIS and Protect 3 NANO (Midget) models are reserve parachutes of the latest generation, notable for their very fast opening qualities. Both of these designs combine the advantages of a conventional middle line parachute with those of a ring shape. All Protect 3 reserve parachutes demonstrate fast but mild openings, low sink rate and minimal swinging.

Certification
All PROTECT 3 reserve parachutes have LTF certification. This applies exclusively for use with the original ADVANCE Fast Opening 4-flap inner container with the pilot chute.
