The Charly Front Reserve Inner Container is purpose-built for front-mounting a rescue parachute inside a front-mounted outer container on a paragliding harness. Its traditional round shape makes it ideal for this setup.
Inside, the canopy is well protected from dirt and accidental line release is reliably prevented. A separate line compartment ensures secure storage and controlled deployment: the canopy only releases once the lines are fully tensioned, reducing the risk of entanglement with the paraglider.
The closure system uses 3 mm coated elastic bungee cords with fabric sheathing—more durable and secure than standard rubber bands. These cords are easy to replace and help minimise the risk of accidental deployment.
Available in three sizes to suit a wide range of reserves, the Charly Front Reserve Inner Container is compatible with Charly TARGETcross, DIAMONDcross (paragliding versions), Second Chance, and many other similar rescue systems.

Performance & Design Background
G-Force Trainer testing has shown that universal inner containers—designed for both integrated and front compartments—can cause deployment issues in emergencies. To address this, Finsterwalder developed two purpose-designed inner containers:
- Flat Inner Container – conical design for under-seat compartments
- Front Inner Container – compact round design (this product) for front-mounted setups
Both feature a separate line compartment to ensure the canopy is only released after the lines are stretched, improving safety and reducing the risk of damage or tangling.
This inner container is compatible with TARGETcross, DIAMONDcross (paragliding versions), other conventional Charly rescues, and many similar systems. Finsterwalder confirms broad compatibility beyond their own models.
