ABOUT CUSTOM COLOURS
Ozone encourages you to customize your own personal colour combination for your wing. Customization generally incurs a small fee. Once you’ve decided you can share your design with your friends, or if you are ready to order, send it to your local Ozone dealer to check if there is a charge and place the final order.
Please note that because the glider will be built specifically for you in the Ozone factory, payment must be received before production can begin.
FABRIC COLOUR AND UV RESISTANCE
Please be aware that the colour you see on your screen may not accurately represent the actual fabric colour. Given the wide varience in monitor calibration and the fabric appearance in different light and colour combinations, it is impossible to perfectly represent fabric colour on screen. If you have any doubts about the colours, look at photos of various wings on OZONE's website to see them in different light and colour combinations or contact us at Flybubble to see the fabric in person.
All of the fabric that OZONE use undergoes extensive testing in prototype colour phase to ensure colourfastness, mechanical stability, porosity, and general longevity before OZONE put it into production. Once OZONE's fabric is in production, every meter of it is rigorously inspected upon arrival in OZONE's factory, and fabric which does not pass our stringent quality control standards is returned to the manufacturer. OZONE are frequently asked, "Which colours last the longest, or have the best UV resistance?" All of the colours that OZONE stock score between 4 and 5 on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being the highest possible rating for longevity.

TOP OF CLASS
The Rush 5 is a top of class Sport-Performance-Intermediate wing that has been developed with the same technology used in our performance wings including the Enzo 3 and Zeno in addition to several new innovative features. An extensive period of performance glide testing allowed us to evaluate the R5 against class-leading wings from other manufacturers. The results have proven significant gains, especially in accelerated glide performance.
TRUE PERFORMANCE
Like our performance and competition wings, the R5 excels in active air and challenging conditions. Hundreds of hours test flying in real air and turbulent conditions have gone into the development, ensuring that it satisfies our own demanding requirements along with the True Performance design goals – real, usable performance in turbulent air throughout the speed range.
DESIGN
The R&D team focused on the structural integrity of the wing to ensure an even more solid, compact, and confidence-inspiring feel compared to the Rush 4. Added structural solidity makes the wing more comfortable and improves performance in turbulent conditions. Compared to previous generation wings, the R5 profile retains its shape better in active air, allowing the wing to cut through turbulence with greater efficiency.
TECH
The R5 retains a moderate Aspect Ratio for ease of use and higher levels of passive safety. Performance gains have come as a result of optimisations in the line layout and next-gen 3D shaping which splits the leading edge into three distinct sections for a clean, wrinkle-free surface. Enhanced panel shaping and TE mini-ribs have also reduced parasitic drag. A new optimised Shark Nose profile aids in all categories including stability, comfort, performance, and the brake range – making it extremely resistant to accidental spin or stall.
IN THE AIR
A solid, high-performance wing is not the whole story; fun is the reason we fly. The R&D team concentrated on the handling and spent a lot of time optimising feedback and turn coordination. We wanted a wing with a direct feel and linear progression in the first part of the range, whilst being responsive and forgiving in the second part. The result is an efficient climb, flat turns with minimal brake input, and increased efficiency in light lift. The responsiveness in the second part of the brake range allows easier control in strong cores.
THE PILOT
Although certified EN B, the R5 is not suitable for beginner pilots. It is meant for experienced intermediate recreational pilots and XC enthusiasts who fly at least 50 hours per year.

Ozone Rush 5 paraglider reviews
"The cloth that Ozone used, Dominico 30D MF, feels quite heavy compared with other wings that I have flown recently. With more manufacturers using light materials on their standard wings, the Rush 5 feels pretty hefty: the ML I flew weighs 5.5kg, although this is 200g lighter than the previous model." "I don’t know if it is the heavy material but the wing feels quite slow to rise. Having said that there is no hard point that you have to pull it through, it keeps on rising albeit slowly." "It is a bit subtler than wings such as the Skywalk Cumeo, and it took a couple of flights for me to feel like I was getting the most out of thermals." "What is remarkable is the lack of movement of the wing when gliding along. Again, in active air it cuts through the bumps and surfs up the lift. It feels very much like the Delta 3 in this respect... " "I suspect Ozone didn’t push the top speed, preferring to keep the wing safe and secure... I was on at least half-bar for all my transitions... " "The Rush 5 is a remarkable wing in that it combines a very comfortable secure feel with top-class performance. It doesn’t feel very demanding to fly, even in the choppy conditions I “enjoyed” during the review period." "Its ability to serenely cut through the turbulence and enter thermals without much input will keep the stress levels low. That, combined with good performance and efficiency when pushing on bar, makes for a great cross-country wing for those upgrading from mid-Bs and those who are moving down from higher-class wings."
- Marcus King, Cross Country Magazine (full review)
"Ozone 2018 high EN-B has arrived. There’s a mild shark nose, barely visual. The cloth on the Rush 5 seems heavy duty, and the lines are similar to the Rush 4 ones with a bit more diameter on the Middle A lines." "Take off in nil wind is slow on the Rush 5. It doesn’t have a hard point, but it’s slow to reach overhead." "The agility in turns is very slightly less than the Rush4, but still, i can say that the Rush 5 is a fairly agile glider... " "Doing some glides in still air, there are no difference in glide between the Mentor 5, Chili 4, and the Rush 5." "In turbulence, i felt that the Rush 5 need less active piloting than the Rush 4... " "The difference in overall performance in active air between the Rush 5 and the Alpina 3 is very small... " "The pressure on the bar is higher than the one on the Rush4... " "The Rush 5 is an excellent choice for people upgrading after two seasons on a low or mid B glider. I cannot consider it as 'demanding to fly' for a high B...But for sure Ozone placed it into that box. "
