The Charly Powerlock Speed System Cords are heavy-duty, 5mm diameter lines perfectly suited for speed systems equipped with large, high-holding-power ratchet block pulleys, like the Ronstan RF46101 40mm Orbit Block Ratchet Pulleys.
Standard speed system lines are often too thin to grip effectively inside large marine-grade ratchet blocks. At 5mm in diameter, these Powerlock cords provide the exact thickness needed to engage the gripping faces of high-end pulleys like the Ronstan RF46101 40mm Orbit Block Ratchet Pulleys, minimizing line wear and maximizing the automatic locking efficiency that reduces your leg fatigue during long XC glides.

Use, Compatibility, and Fitting
These cords are an essential accessory if you are upgrading your harness to use 40mm auto-ratchet blocks. However, please remember that the pulleys these cords are designed for are highly specialised.
As detailed on our Ronstan RF46101 product page, upgrading to 40mm auto-ratchet pulleys is not a "plug and play" process for most paragliding harnesses. With a few rare exceptions (such as the Advance IMPRESS 4), your harness will require structural modification by a qualified paraglider harness service centre to safely accommodate the pulleys. Please ensure your harness is compatible or modified to accept 40mm blocks before purchasing this system.
