PPG Lite Rescue Container
The PPG Lite Rescue Container is an ultra-light and compact front-mounted reserve parachute container designed specifically for powered paragliding harnesses without an integrated reserve deployment system. It can also be used by pilots who want to add a second front-mounted reserve to their existing PPG setup. Thoughtfully designed for paramotor use, the Lite Rescue Container PPG is easy to handle and also functions as a mini cockpit thanks to its Velcro top panel, allowing secure attachment of compact instruments such as a vario or GPS.
The PPG Lite Rescue Container comes in a 3.3–4.7 L volume range and weighs just 161 g, making it an ideal solution for pilots who want a lightweight yet properly sized container for modern compact reserves.
The PPG Lite Rescue Container is only suitable for compact square reserve parachutes such as the Angel SQ 120–140 and Angel V2 110–140. It is not suitable for bulky or traditional round reserves, or for parachutes exceeding the recommended packed volume.
Choose a container model and size suitable for your reserve parachute’s dimensions. Do not pack the parachute too tightly as this may affect the opening time. If between sizes, go for the larger container. It's not worth saving a few grams or having a tinier pack if this means a delayed opening time.
Connection to the Harness
The PPG Lite Rescue Container can be used with most paramotor harnesses. We recommend attaching the bridles directly to the main carabiners for the cleanest and most secure setup. Alternatively, if your harness has dedicated shoulder or front attachment points and your bridles are long enough, you may attach them there.
Ensure that the carabiner gates do not interfere with the bridle loops. You may need to reverse the carabiners’ orientation at the hang point to achieve proper alignment and prevent unwanted loading.
The PPG Lite container should be secured to a suitable position on the harness using the straps.
Reserve Bridle Connection
If you have a parachute with a short bridle, as almost all modern ones do, attach it to a reserve Y-bridle (not supplied) using a suitable connector (not supplied).
Downloads
Ozone grouped their rescue containers into a single user manual because they all have very similar requirements and closing processes.
