The pilot
The Submarine is a no-compromise racing harness for top level competitions and the longest cross-country flights. It is intended only for pilots who understand and accept the safety and ease of use compromises inherent in a high-performance harness.

The tech
The 2025 V1.4 version of the Submarine represents the ultimate in harness drag reduction. Years of feedback from the world's top pilots helped us to improve many essential details. A unique magnetic pod closure system is air-tight and hands-free. The new inner structure of the tail prevents the tail from obstructing the pilots view in stall. It also features a new upper body closure system, larger pockets, and easier access to instruments. Overall, the V1.4 is significantly more comfortable and more efficient. Thermal comfort inside the pod remains excellent.
Nomenclature: V1.4 means this is the Version 1 of the Submarine structure, and the 4th generation envelope.
In flight
The Submarine’s performance and comfort have now been thoroughly proven in the highly competitive PWC circuit and during world record distance flights. We thank the pilots who assisted us during the multi-year development process. The Submarine has won virtually every major event since its release.
Solid yaw stability is noticeable at high speeds thanks to the optimised shape of the profile. The overall comfort of the Submarine's structure helps to save energy needed for long and demanding flights. The new magnetic hands-free pod closure provides increased safety on take-off, landing, and allows trouble-free low saves. The risk of pilot vision being obstructed by the tail during stalls and back flights is now reduced. Pockets and instrument panel were made larger and easier to access. All improvements have made it a more user-friendly competition harness.
Certification
The Submarine is EN 1651-2018 certified for pilots up to 120kg.

“I was amazed by the ingeniosity of that design. All the small details were studied to have that streamlined shape and efficiency. It is a bit delicate to handle, and landing on a tree isn’t a good idea and will eventually destroy the outside envelope. I don’t see how the rescue lines will pass near the collar without damaging the cloth…in case of a rescue opening. But it could happen without damage.
The difference in efficiency to gain gliding performance between a normal seated harness and a pod harness with rear fairing is greater than comparing the same pod harness with fairing to a Submarine.
But there’s a difference in speed and on long glides.
Every pilot will find a whole complete set of harnesses from pod to simple ones to his liking. The Submarine is a complex harness for a purpose.
If you are a very good competition pilot, and you need those extra meters that will help you get closer or be on a podium, then the Submarine is definitely for you if your competitors have a similar harness, then getting a high-end stream-lined harness like the Submarine, will keep you close in the game!”
