This factory service fee covers PHI swapping the standard risers on a backordered PHI wing to an alternative compatible set before dispatch. This service is strictly for wings coming directly from the factory and will cause delivery delays. It does not apply to wings currently in stock at Flybubble, which must be swapped manually by the user or a professional service centre if alternative risers are purchased.

We strongly advise sticking to the standard risers supplied with your wing, as they are the optimal fit chosen by the designer. Alternative options like B/C steering or ultralight risers offer negligible benefits for most pilots and introduce unnecessary compromises in durability and everyday ease of use.

Product Details

This factory service fee covers the cost of PHI swapping the standard risers on a backordered PHI wing to alternative, compatible PHI risers prior to dispatch.

Important Order Notes

Backorders Only: This service is strictly for wings built to order and shipped directly from the factory. It does not apply to wings currently in stock at Flybubble.
Expect Delays: The factory requires extra time to schedule and perform the riser swap. If you are on a tight deadline, we highly recommend sticking with the standard risers.
In-Stock Wings: All wings held in stock at Flybubble come fitted with standard risers. To change these, you will need to purchase the alternative risers separately and fit them yourself (or employ a service centre). Flybubble does not offer an in-house fitting service.
Compatibility & Sizing: While most solo PHI risers and wings are cross-compatible, exceptions exist. Always check the product info, technical data, and user manual to confirm wing/riser compatibility and ensure you select the correct size. Note: Paraglider risers are never interchangeable between different brands.
DIY Fitting: If you purchase risers separately at a later date, swapping them is a time-consuming process that requires precision. If you are in any doubt, pay a professional service centre to do it for you.

Flybubble Advice: Stick to Standard

We strongly recommend keeping the standard risers supplied with your wing. The designer selected them as the optimal fit for that specific model, and they are exactly what we choose for our own personal gear.

B/C Steering: This offers negligible in-flight benefits for the majority of pilots flying wings below the 'High B' class, and it unnecessarily complicates ground handling and everyday use.
Lightweight Risers: Unless you are building an extreme hike-and-fly setup where absolutely every gram matters, the tiny weight saving simply isn't worth the compromise in everyday durability and handling convenience.

Standard UK delivery - £3.95 / FREE on orders over £50.
Outside the UK - delivery calculated at checkout (based on the total order value and your delivery address).
We use Royal Mail, Parcelforce Worldwide and other courier companies (e.g. DHL, DPD) depending on shipment value, weight, destination etc.

If you are not 100% satisfied with your order, you have 14 days from the day of delivery to request a refund.
