Woody Valley Relax Bar

The Relax Bar is an adjustable footrest (foot stirrup) designed to support your legs and provide maximum comfort in flight. It’s ideal for pilots who prefer a more reclined position, with legs and feet stretched forward and supported—a posture many find more comfortable than sitting upright with feet dangling.

A foot stirrup can also make it easier to get into the harness after launch. You take off with one foot behind the stirrup, bring it forward to place the other foot on, then use that foot to push yourself back into the seat—all while keeping your hands free to control the brakes and glider.

The Relax Bar comes in a universal size with adjustable buckles, allowing easy adaptation to the pilot’s height and leg length.

It is compatible with all standard open Woody Valley harnesses that include loops for attaching a foot stirrup near the front corners of the seat. Examples include Woody Valley Exense, Exense Air, MK1, MK1 Pro, Naos (with foam or inflatable protection), Wani, Wani 2, Wani 3, Wani Light, Wani Light 2, and Wani Light 3.

The Relax Bar is supplied disassembled, with all parts required for installation. Harness, karabiners, and accelerator system are not included.

Installation overview:

1. The two ends of the Relax Bar with loops attach to the main karabiners on the harness.
2. The middle loops attach to the foot stirrup loops near the front corners of the seat.
3. Two elastic bungee cords connect the Relax Bar to the sides of the speed system, keeping the speed bar step raised for easier access with your foot.

When correctly fitted, the Relax Bar will not interfere with the reserve handle or deployment, even when not in use.
