Skywalk ARAK: the MULTITOOL.
Meets. Every. Demand.
Have you always wanted to fly a paraglider that fulfils your every need? ARAK is your first choice!
Skywalk's third model in the intermediate class cuts through traditional categories and combines everything you want from a paraglider. The ARAK stands for easy handling, rich performance and, above all: lots of fun.
These features make the ARAK a true all-rounder and the perfect companion for your next adventure!
“When I travel with a paraglider I have to rely 100% on my equipment. Due to the many different conditions I face, I need a true all-rounder to accompany me on new adventures that is both easy to handle and is light on the back.”
- Paul Guschlbauer, adventurer & professional pilot
HOW DOES THE ARAK FLY?
Design
Because Skywalk already offer two distinctive intermediates with our TEQUILA and CHILI, they broke new ground in terms of the ARAK’s development. Its moderate aspect ratio and line concept share the straightforwardness of the TEQUILA series. Its performance-oriented profile in combination with the cell count and other built-in technologies minimizes drag and offers you nearly the performance of the CHILI series.
With innovative 32-gram material for top and bottom sails and 38-gram material for the leading edge, as well as our very kink insensitive Rigid Foil, the ARAK can be compressed super small and packed into any hike & fly rucksack. Yet it is sturdy enough to handling lengthy ground handling sessions or playful flying in the dunes.
Characteristics
The ARAK offers plenty of comfort due to its smoothness and its easy handling. The glider provides great feedback, creating confidence from the start, so you can focus on the essentials even in the most challenging conditions. This compact Intermediate wing allows playful and precise adjustment of your bank angle so you can optimize your position for every situation. From weak to shredded thermals.
Its direct handling makes the ARAK a blast to fly compared to other intermediates. Anyone who has always wanted to fly high wingover will find the ideal training tool in the ARAK. The ARAK’s performance potential is enormous and easy to exploit thanks to its simplicity.
That means no limits to your flying horizon. Whether you’re an XC pilot, a globetrotter or an adventurer, with the ARAK you will always have a reliable partner at your side!
Features
JET FLAPS
Our JET FLAPS extend the green arc as you approach the stall point, which substantially increases safety and also improves climb performance.
C-WIRES
C-wires are nylon wires sewn into the glider over the anchor points of the C-level lines. Advantages: better load distribution, reduced drag, more performance.
MINI RIBS
Doubling the number of cells at the trailing edge increases its shape stability substantially. Advantage: fewer vortices improve the aerodynamics and with it the performance.
RIGID FOIL
The Rigid Foil nylon wires on the leading edge help maintain its shape and ensure constant ram air pressure. Advantages: better take-off behaviour, more performance and lower canopy weight.
3D-SHAPING
A precise calculation of the leading edge geometry and the installation of an additional strip of fabric reduce wrinkling in this sensitive part of the glider. Advantages: exact wing shape, more performance.
SHARK NOSE
Together with a corresponding wing design, the shark nose technology improves pressure distribution in the canopy substantially. Advantages: much more solid flying feeling and substantial performance gain, especially when gliding on bar.
AUTOMATIC SAND RELEASE SYSTEM
Porous openings of the profile ribs at the trailing edge ensure that sand and dirt in the glider are automatically guided to the wingtip where they can trickle out. This helps preserve the material and “relieves” the trailing edge.

Skywalk ARAK paraglider reviews
The pilot that will be super-happy with the ARAK is likely to be stepping up from a first wing (high A, low B). It would make a nice progression up if they don’t want to stay in the lower end of the B class, or have aspirations for hike and fly and need something lighter. The ARAK is suited to a wide spectrum of pilots, from talented beginners to hike and fly explorers to cross country with good performance. A comfortable reassuring glider that will give you great confidence.
- Nancy Elliott, Flybubble (full review)
It's great to see something truly mid B (not low B or high B) which is easy to recommend. The ARAK is a versatile glider, it feels a bit lighter on the ground than some others and it is quite compact. For hike and fly, straight out of school, for xc, for playing around, the ARAK is a very nice, fun yet reassuring wing to play on.
