Reserve sizing (pack volume) and compatibility: Please note the volume specification of your reserve parachute from the reserve manufacturer. The Skywalk DROP fron container is designed to be combined with Skywalk’s light reserves, but all commercially available non-steerable reserve parachutes that correspond to the volume of the container can also be fitted into the front container. For steerable reserves the compatibility must be clarified with the manufacturer of your reserve system.
Package
- 1x Drop container
- 1x Reserve handle
- 1x V-line bridle
- 2x mounting loops for connection to the main carabiners
Skywalk Drop: Ultralight. Minimal pack size.
The DROP front container is a universal lightweight front container with 3 connection points. It is ideal for mounting lightweight round and square reserves universally on a variety of harnesses, and offers the possibility to pack your reserve to the minimum pack size and weight.
Designed to be ideally suited to Skywalk lightweight reserves TAPA X-ALPS and PEPPER CROSS LIGHT the DROP front container is also compatible with other similar compact lightweight reserves that match the volume range of the container.
For an even smaller pack size, you can additionally compress the DROP with a zipper. The best way to do this is to fold the packed rescue along the longitudinal axis and close the zip bit by bit. (picture down below)
How to connect the fixation lines of the V-line with the front container?
Features
- Compression zip - For an even more compact pack size.
- Hok-and-loop fastener - For mounting small Hike&Fly variometers.
- Rescue handle - Rescue handle with integrated safety pins. When closed, the design prevents unintenional deployment due to tangled lines, as the handle has no undercuts.
- V-line with connecting lines - For attaching the front container. The knots on the connecting lines allow the front rescue position to be adjusted to the suspension width of your harness.
- Packing Sequence - The sequence for closing the front container is given by 1-3 and A-C on the loops.
- Horizontal mounting strap - With clip to fix the front container to the leg loops or the get-up system of your harness.
FAQ
Can I mount the DROP lightweight front container on any harness?
Yes. The DROP is a universal lightweight front container with 3 fixation points. However, your harness must only offer the possibility to attach the horizontal fixation strap, which is sewn to the lower end of the DROP, to the get-up or the leg loops of your harness.
Will my lightweight reserve fit in the DROP?
The volume specifications of your reserve manufacturer must be observed. Of course, the DROP is best combined with Skywalk lightweight reserve (PEPPER CROSS LIGHT and TAPA X-ALPS). However, other compact lightweight rescue chutes that match the volume range of the container can also be integrated into the DROP.
Do I have to use the supplied V-Line?
Yes, because the fixation lines are directly connected to the V-Line and otherwise the front container cannot be attached to the harness with 3 fixation points.
