*Flybubble note: Our measured weight of the PERMAIR PUMP (excluding included accessories) was ~153 g. With the required adapter for the PERMAIR PROTECTOR and storage bag, ~163 g. Including all accessories (5 adapters ~19 g, charging cable ~11 g, manual sheet ~4 g, storage bag ~7 g), the total was ~193 g. We measured the pump body (excluding protrusions) as ~H 80 x Ø 51 mm, and the required adapter as ~H 32 x Ø 22 mm.

How to inflate PERMAIR protector by PERMAIR PUMP?

1. Put the PERMAIR adapter of the pump on the pump outlet (grey adapter).
2. Connect the pump outlet to the valve.
3. The pump can now be easily switched on via the On/Off switch. When filling, make sure that the protector is not twisted.
4. As soon as the pump pressure corresponds to the PERMAIR protector pressure, the pump cannot pump any more air into the protector and you can switch off and disconnect the pump. The check valve prevents the air from escaping.

Attention

• THE PUMP PRESSURE DEPENDS ON THE CHARGE LEVEL OF THE PUMP BATTERY. WITH A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY, THE PUMP CAN BE USED ABOUT 20 TIMES BEFORE IT NEEDS TO BE RECHARGED. AS A BACKUP, YOU SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE THE PERMAIR MOUTHPIECE WITH YOU TO INCREASE THE PRESSURE IN THE PROTECTOR IF NECESSARY.
• FOR FLIGHTS WITH AN ALTITUDE DIFFERENCE OF MORE THAN 1500M BETWEEN TAKE-OFF AND LANDING SITE, THE PROTECTOR MUST BE ADDITIONALLY INFLATED WITH THE MOUTHPIECE.

"You’ll attract some attention on launch with the buzzing electric pump, but it functions just fine. Gerhard Holzner advised that the pump provides exactly enough pressure for the airbag but this is not very critical: “It’s a very tolerant system, the protection will be approximately the same whether you have 0.08 or 0.02 bar inside." The pressure does affect your seating position, so try this out before you fly, while you are adjusting your seating position.

Skywalk says a fully charged pump can inflate the protector about 20 times and it is charged by USB-C. It can even serve as a power bank, so you can charge your phone when you land. Blowing by mouth or with a bag is just as easy and I found this a bit faster. The mouthpiece removes any moisture and should be kept clean."
