Cost for the 2 weeks course: £1,100 (GBP).

If you can only join us for 1 week it is £600 (GBP).

*Week One: Saturday 12th to Saturday 19th
*Week Two: Saturday 19th to Saturday 26th

*You can book the first or second week, or both!

*We'd highly recommend that ideally you should do the complete two week paragliding course (12-26), to make the most of your time in South Africa, and give you the best chance to complete your BHPA Club Pilot rating, but if you can only make one week then we can accommodate this (let us know which week you would like to do).

What's Not Included?
Anything not listed above isn't included. For example, the following things are not included in the price of the trip:

• Airline flights
• Medical Repatriation & Travel Insurance (needs to be pre-arranged before the trip)
• BHPA Membership (needs to be pre-arranged before the trip)
• Paragliding Equipment (available to hire or purchase from us)
• Local Fees: SAHPA - South Africa Hang Gliding & Paragliding Association registration fee and some site fees.
• Meals (lunch, dinner or drinks)

Airline Flights
Airline flights to South Africa are not included in the cost of the trip. We will be flying into Johannesburg and taking an internal flight to George which is the local airport only 20 minutes away from where we will be based. Once we have received deposits from the minimum number of pilots required for the trip to go ahead then we will try to find the best price for flights for each trip and then reserve flights for the individual to pay for directly themselves.

It is always best if everyone is on the same flight, but we understand this is not always possible as people come from all over the UK. All we ask is that, to minimise unnecessary delays, everyone is at the arrival airport at the same time, or earlier than the main group arrival time for the airport transfer.

Medical Repatriation & Travel Insurance
All paragliding students must have adequate medical repatriation insurance that specifically covers them for paragliding for the duration of the course (at least). Please be aware that 'normal' travel insurance often excludes activities such as paragliding. Insurance that specifically covers paragliding is very specific to paragliding. We can supply you with details of companies that may offer insurance which specifically covers paragliding but it is up to you to ensure that the insurance you pay for specifically covers paragliding and you are adequately covered for the duration of the course.

BHPA Membership
As we are a BHPA Registered School, to do a paragliding course with us you are required to take out BHPA Membership for the duration of your paragliding course. This is the same for any BHPA Registered School.

The cost of BHPA Membership is not included in the price for this paragliding course. You will need to pay for this separately directly to the BHPA. We will need to see proof of your BHPA Membership before we can commence any training with you.

The minimum BHPA Membership required to take part in this paragliding course is BHPA 12 Month 'Full Annual' Membership, which is the minimum you need to be able to be awarded your BHPA Club Pilot rating. The BHPA are also currently offering an option of 2 years of BHPA Membership at a special offer price, which could save you money in the longer term.

Paragliding Equipment
Paragliding equipment hire for the 2 week trip is: £300 (Includes; paraglider; harness; helmet; radio). For one week the paragliding equipment hire is £200.
Alternatively, contact us to discuss purchase options of your own paragliding equipment.

Local Fees
SAHPA - South Africa Hang Gliding & Paragliding Association registration fee and some site fees.
