Paragliding XC Development Workshops with Pat Dower

Before the XC season properly begins, we are aiming to give pilots the best possible leg-up for their XC flying.

To start, we are delighted to announce a new collaboration with leading paragliding coach Pat Dower to offer a special XC event in the South of England in February 2014. Actually, it's two events over two days.

Pilots can attend either one or both days, depending on what their needs are.

Day 1 | XC Workshop

Pat's renowned XC Workshop, refined and developed for 2014. It puts all the foundations in place for successful and rewarding XC flying.

Drawing on Pat's deep understanding, developed over 20 years of XC flying, we will analyse and develop the main aspects of XC flying on PG and HG in the UK. A highly interactive workshop designed to help pilots put their learning into practice. More »

Day 2 | Advanced XC Skills

This XC seminar picks up where Day 1 leaves off to build the skills and knowledge of the true advanced XC pilot.

At its most basic level, cross country flying is simple: climb to cloud-base, glide towards a nice growing cumulus, climb again and so on. Most pilots learn quickly that doing well involves rather more than that and put a lot of time and effort into preparing better and learning more. If you follow the XC leagues you can't help but notice that the same names keep banging in the big flights. Dates & Times

The dates are 24th and 25th February 2014 which, due to busy weekends, are a Monday and a Tuesday.

Each day will start at 10:30 and is expected to end at 18:00.

Wok Inn, The Broyle, Shortgate, Lewes, East Sussex. BN8 6PH.

Lunch is not included in the price however The Wok Inn have very kindly let us use their function room for free (which means the XC workshops are much cheaper) on the basis that most of us will take advantage of their special offer Lunch Menu.
