Weight ranges

The take off weight on the scale includes pilot + equipment + wing. For normal thermal flying it is recommended to stay in the normal range. For high wind conditions, strong thermals to fly XC, the extended range offers more speed and energy.

BEAT 2 light NT
The BEAT 2 light NT builds on everything pilots love about the BEAT 2 light — now enhanced with PHI's Nitinol Technology (NT). It keeps the same design philosophy, handling, performance, and weight, while introducing nitinol wing rods, updated materials, and different colourways to easily distinguish them.
The result?
The same perfectly balanced wing — now even more refined, durable, and premium.
Like the BEAT 2 light, the BEAT 2 light NT sits perfectly in the middle of the wing’s bandwidth, delivering a combination of high passive safety, simplicity, and performance that satisfies both progressing and experienced pilots.
The BEAT series has always embodied PHI’s philosophy of balance — the legendary “Golden Ratio” — and the BEAT 2 light NT continues that tradition beautifully.
PHI Nitinol Technology (NT)
PHI Nitinol Technology (NT) represents the latest step in PHI’s continuous development of lightweight, durable, and high-performance wings.
This technology was first introduced with the RONDO / RONDO C, followed by the MAESTRO 3 / MAESTRO 3 light, and is now available on the BEAT 2 light NT.
Light Nitinol Nose Padding
The BEAT 2 light NT features neoprene padding on the leading edge, which distributes the pressure of the Nitinol rods over a larger area and makes the wing nose significantly more robust against abrasion.
Nitinol itself offers very easy packing and low stress, thanks to its excellent form stability and shape-memory properties. Even after tight packing, the rods return to their original shape, helping maintain a clean leading edge.
Because of the superb form stability of Nitinol and the refined sail shaping of the BEAT 2 light, the lift section of the airfoil remains smooth and aerodynamically efficient, contributing to consistent performance and long-term durability.

Materials
- 4-layer MJ29 fabric
Risers
- Standard R04 (3+1)
- Optional: RZ3 (3), R03 (3+1)
You are free to customize and choose another riser free of charge but this will delay your order by 3-7 days. If saving every gram is your top priority, you may choose the "Superlight" RZ3 riser. This reduces the weight on the tech data list by around 250-285g but compromises usability and increases speed system pressure.
