Ozone production times
Ozone wings are made to order. Ozone gives their current approximate production time on their website in working days, for example: "The current production time is approximately 24 days from order to shipping". Add 1-3 weeks for shipping, and allow for unexpected delays. Some may claim shorter delivery times however we're unsure how they can supply faster than the manufacturer themselves can produce and ship! ;-)
Wisp 2: HIKE AND FLY TANDEM - EN B
- The Hike & Fly Tandem
- Ultra-light, ultra compact
- Easy to launch / land in unimproved areas
- Fun, agile handling
The pilot
The Wisp 2 is designed for adventurous pilots seeking the lightest and most compact tandem glider. Designed for hiking and climbing ascents, the Wisp 2 is light enouh to access new tandem launches and capable enough to fly real XC.
The tech
The Wisp 2 benefits from more than 20 years of lightweight paraglider design and contains the latest design and materials tech that has made the Ultralite series one of the best selling paragliders in our range and in the world. Its carefully considered cell count, 3D shaping and refined panel shaping, and optimised line layout have yielded an easy to use and high tech tandem that is a joy to fly.
The addition of winglets improves roll stability while allowing an enhanced arc for excellent handling and benign side collapse behaviour.
Certification
The Wisp 2 is certified EN-B across its very wide weight range. This allows pilots of all weights and sizes to enjoy flying tandem together, whether you're traveling ultra-light or carrying extensive climbing or vol-biv equipment.
In flight
Launching in tight spots in less than ideal conditions is made easier by straight forward inflation and launch characteristics. The wing inflates easily in nil wind conditions, without overshooting in stronger wind. The take-off roll, or the amount of running distance needed, is exceptionally short for a wing of this size.
In the air the wing is a solid platform with excellent structural stability to cope with demanding turbulence. The solid and compact nature of the wing is complimented by fun and direct handling -- the brakes are precise with a linear roll response to inputs and a tight turning radius. This agility makes it a fun wing to fly whether you're climbing in XC thermals, or simply descending in smooth air.
Landing is simple with good flare authority. The trimmer system should be set to the fully "in" (slow) position for best take-off efficiency and flare in normal conditions.

Designer notes
The new Wisp is a complete new design starting from a blank page. We simply wanted to take the idea to the next step. Lighter, but with better caracteristics – inflation, launch, handling, landing, performance.
44 cells for a flat AR of 5.3, this was the best ratio lightness / performance. Not too many cells to prevent the sail to be too heavy, but enough to keep the sail clean, tight and responsive.
The AR is the right balance to achieve good performance but also a compact span for the ease of use, forgiveness and safety.
A lot of the researches done for the Magnum4 are going into the Wisp2: The great inflation but most of all launching characteristics are a key improvement, offering no compromise behaviour in the most crucial and critical part of flying in the wild.
Same thing for the landing, with a good resource authority.
The Wisp2 has double 3D shaping to improve the airflow on the LE, reducing drag, improving performance and most of all allowing a quicker “prise en charge”.
The Wisp2 has winglets, which allowed the design of a higher arc, improving the sail’s tension, to offer a higher cohesion, a tighter feel, better handling and also better behaviour in collapse recovery.
The lines are using the 8001 serie, aramid unsheathed with UV and hydrophobic treatment, for a reduced line drag.
The details of constructions are directly derived from the very popular Ultralite 5.
Two offers for risers : A light version in 7mm, with a system of splices for the trimmers And a standard version in 12mm and cam buckle for the trimmers

Pilot review
Dav put a lot of thought and effort designing this wing and his work has paid off.
I am super happy with the progress made from the original Wisp, perfect inflation in all wind conditions, it creates lift early making the take off proceedure stress free, even in demanding conditions.
In-air structural stability is superb, the wing absorbs turbulence in a solid compact manner for a comfortable experience for both pilot and passenger.
The handling is fun and precise, it's really fun to crank hard in the climbs with excellent roll response without being too heavy or tiring.
On glide or when close to the ridge the wing is on rails with excellent roll stability, Hono never vomitted once as a passenger in super turbulent testing conditions!
In terms of safety and behaviour it is on point, we didn't have to choke or restrain the wing to pass the requirements of certification so you can enjoy the wing exactly as it was intended.
- Russell Ogden, Test Pilot
