* Weight with light Dyneema risers. Regular risers: add 200g
Flybubble note: The Gin Gliders' weight specifications are based on the assumption that pilots will switch out the standard Kevlar risers for optional Dyneema risers. However, it is generally recommended for most pilots to stick with the standard risers due to their superior user-friendliness, pulleys, comfortable handles, durability, and dimensional stability, even if they weigh just 200g more.

Griffin D mini paraglider
The Griffin D is a custom spec version of the standard lightweight Gin Griffin made from heavier-duty fabric. It's made for pilots flying in tougher terrain, in coastal areas or who who prioritise durability over weight.
A versatile machine
Available in three sizes, the Griffin D covers a wide range of weights and activities. It’s perfect for ridge and coastal soaring, classic hike ‘n fly or para-alpinism. If you’re an experienced pilot, you’ll appreciate the Griffin’s combination of speedwing thrills and paraglider efficiency and energy retention.
The Griffin D has an exceptionally wide weight range. Flown in the higher end of the weight range, the wing feels fast and dynamic and is suitable only for experienced pilots. But flown in the low-end of the weight range, the dynamics are somewhat reduced and the wing is more accessible.
Light but not extreme
At around only 3kg, the Griffin D is one of the lightest wings in its category and fits easily in a 30 litre daysack! Despite the light weight, the main and mid- lines are sheathed for ease of use and durability.
The canopy fabric is Dominico 30D fabric, which offers excellent durability and value. The main and mid- lines are sheathed for ease of use and durability.
Easy-to-handle 12mm Kevlar risers are standard (recommended). Lightweight Dyneema risers and soft shackles are available as an optional extra (but not generally recommended).
All-terrain action
Thanks to its compact size and short lines, the Griffin D is easy to launch in tricky places and demanding conditions. It has the performance to glide out of tight spots and a good enough sink rate to thermal up when flown at reasonable wing-loadings. Wherever you fly, you will love the precision and general feel of its handling. The Griffin “d” is a real toy, take it out to play!
Uncertified
Please note that due to the change of fabric the certification for the standard lightweight Griffin size 16 is not applicable to any size of the Griffin D.
Pilots who require a certified wing should choose the standard lightweight Gin Griffin in size 16.
