Like the normal version, the light version lost weight compared to its already ultralight predecessor (even being slightly larger). The TENOR 2 light has around 200g less weight as TENOR 2 (depending on size). The TENOR light was one of our "all time best sellers". Because of the extremely good results in Phi tests, they are expecting the same with the second generation.

TENOR 2 light: THE SUPERLIGHT SPORTSTER
The first TENOR light was an extreme popular wing. Extremely light and performant. Because of it’s speed and stability the perfect wing for high alpine flying adventures.
Now the second generation is even better!
-better in every matter:
It is even lighter, even easier, even performing better!
Even having more complex internal structure, and even having more surface, the second generation of the TENOR lost weight: around 200g!
-and with the sporty characteristics of the new generation.
Designer's notes
"As the TENOR light (first generation) was a bestseller and very popular for performance oriented super light equipment selection, we wanted to reach an even lower weight with the next generation.
-even with the little bigger surface of the TENOR 2 light.
We reached that goal by consequent weight reduction of the internals.
The superlight and form stable double coated Porcher Skytex 27 was again the first choice, as it is proven to be long living and reliable."
- Hannes Papesh, Phi Designer
Features
The TENOR 2 light is a technically very complex wing for its class (low to mid B).
-and this advanced technical complexity made it possible to further on reduce the weight.
PHI removed suspended airfoils and replaced them by super-light unsuspended ones, supported by super optimized finger diagonals.
-resulting in less lines, and less weight.
The new rod material offer a very high degree of stiffness for their weight. So the TENOR 2 light is significantly easier to launch than the first generation. A super easy inflation behaviour is a must in high alpine launches!
Safety was always a key bonus of the TENOR concept. There the TENOR 2 light is setting once again new benchmarks. The safety to speed relation is unique! So it is easy to fly at speed with the confidence.
Flybubble review
"I just had an incredibly enjoyable and excellent test flight with Nancy on the TENOR 2 Light, and I must say it was an absolute joy to fly. The handling of this glider is sublime—direct, responsive, and agile. In fact, I believe it might be the most responsive and agile low B wing I've tested so far. The brake pressure is light, and the travel is on the moderate to shorter side, providing a particularly direct and responsive feel. While it has a sporty touch, it feels less so than its predecessor, the TENOR 1, and boasts a flatter and more efficient turn.
The performance of the TENOR 2 Light is impressive for its class, holding its own against high-performance gliders like EN-C two-liners. In a direct comparison, the higher-end gliders may have a slight edge in performance, but the TENOR 2 Light excels on the speed bar. Its clean Leading Edge is notably sleek, showing no signs of flutter or twitching, making the glider exceptionally solid throughout.
Summarizing my overall experience, the TENOR 2 Light is a delight to fly, offering gorgeous handling, quick and responsive maneuvers, and light brake pressure. It stands out with top-notch performance in its class. Beyond the technical aspects, the glider is an absolute pleasure to launch and fly. In my opinion, it deserves a big thumbs up."

Risers
Standard: ‘Semilight’ R04 (3+1)
Optional: ‘Superlight’ RZ3 (3), ‘Superlight +’ R03 (3 +1),
You are free to customize and choose another riser free of charge but this will delay your order by 3-7 days. If saving every gram is your top priority, you may choose the "Superlight" RZ3 riser. This reduces the weight on the tech data list by around 250-285g but compromises usability and increases speed system pressure.

FAQ
How should the TENOR 2 light be packed?
The rods of the TENOR 2 light are quite short and not sensitive against bending. You can pack the TENOR 2 light without big attention.
What is the service interval of the TENOR 2 light? Is a trim tuning needed?
The service interval is as usual 2 years from the first flight. Please fill in your first flight in the type table. On the base of our experience with the lines material mix, there is no trim tuning necessary: the trim does normally not change significantly.
Can the TENOR 2 light be equipped with the C steering R07 riser?
Yes: you can order the TENOR 2 light with the C handle R07 riser. As for all PHI wings you can chose the riser at ordering. The R07 riser is rising the demand, as it is not as easy to be sorted as a normal riser (because of the free ball bearing roll as the B riser). We are recommending the R07 only for more experienced pilots. What is the extended weight range?
As the TENOR 2 light has a very wide safety margin, we decided to offer an extended weight range. This is offering the possibility to fly the TENOR 2 light with more wing loading, still being in the certification range. A pilot may use this option on days with strong thermals with extra ballast, for strong wind soaring or when he generally loves to fly a high loaded wing for more speed, more dynamic energy and more fun.
For normal thermal flying it is recommended to stay inside the standard weight range.
Difference between SYMPHONIA 2 light and TENOR 2 light?
Phi: "The difference between TENOR 2 and SYMPHONIA 2 is more than with the first versions: the TENOR 2 has less lines, more diagonals, different trim settings, etc."
The TENOR 2 light and SYMPHONIA 2 light are the light versions of the TENOR 2 and SYMPHONIA 2, so the same differences apply between them.
How light are the SYMPHONIA 2 light and TENOR 2 light?
Phi: "Both are very light: the TENOR 2 light is 200g lighter than the TENOR light even though it is a little bigger!"
With superlight risers, the SYMPHONIA 2 light 22 (75-95kg) weighs 3.3 kg and the TENOR 2 light 21 (75-95kg) weighs 3.24 kg.
