Lightweight Mountain Bivouac Paraglider

The Alpha 4 Hike is the latest Lightweight / Mountain / Bivouac paragliding wing from Advance.

As a lightweight version of the ALPHA 4 the HIKE offers the hiker, trekker, traveller or quite simply the weight-conscious pilot a genuine alternative in the lower Intermediate range - and it makes flying even simpler.

Light weight thanks to an ideal mix of materials:

• New Skytex 27 g/m2 fabric for the top and bottom wing surface
• New Skytex 40 g/m2 for the leading edge and ribs
• Light, specially coated lines
• Narrow risers
• Compact and lightweight backpack

Dynamic with good performance
Compared with the ALPHA 4 the HIKE can use a higher takeoff weight, so that it can be flown with a smaller wing area. In addition it has thinner lines. Both of these features give it slightly more dynamic flight characteristics and markedly better performance, but the degree of passive safety is unchanged.

Certification
The ALPHA 4 HIKE has been granted LTF 1-2 and EN Certification. This approval applies to all sizes of the ALPHA 4 HIKE in unaccelerated and accelerated flight.
