ADAM 2 MOTOR: THE A, B, C OF PPG
- Beginner-friendly
- Exceptional roll stability
- Hybrid wing
- Roller Cam Trimmers
The ADAM 2 MOTOR is a safe and fun glider that is suitable for training, that a student can grow with. It was tested by our PPG test pilot, Italian champion Pasquale Biondo, and approved by the team at One-Up Adventures paragliding school in the US. They requested a wing that is super safe and “not a potato!”. By which they mean it needs great handling, to be fast enough and fun to fly. The ADAM 2 MOTOR has a speed bar and trimers with a decent speed range: everything a new pilot needs to learn skills that will transfer later to a more advanced glider. It is a ‘hybrid’ wing, having EN-A certification, which means it can also be used for free-flight training and flying, without the motor as well as paramotor flying.
Target
The ADAM 2 MOTOR is the perfect wing to accompany pilots in their discovery of this new sport, to quell the apprehension and promote the sense of freedom. But it’s not just for first steps. It is a safe and versatile partner to continue to explore the possibilities on: fly with a motor, or without; stay local or go XC and explore further afield. The ADAM 2 MOTOR is an easy, safe and versatile wing for soon-to-be club pilots or veterans, for paramotoring and free flying.
Designer's notes
A low-stress wing, the ADAM 2 MOTOR is simple to launch and very roll stable. It has intuitive and fun BGD handling.
The ADAM 2 MOTOR incorporates several key technologies: Our trademark Progressive Stability means the centre is the most resistant to deforming and the tips the least so there will be no nasty surprises in turbulent air. Chord Cut Billow technology is there too, reducing ballooning and eliminating wrinkles from the sail. The elliptical cell openings on the ADAM 2 MOTOR keep the bottom surface well tensioned. This gives it good inflation characteristics, and easy reinflation after a collapse.
Learning to fly can be tough on a wing, so the ADAM 2 MOTOR is made with durable materials. The top surface is high quality Dominico 30D, which was well proven on the original ADAM.

Features
Baby A-Riser
BGD has added a 'big ears' A riser which is also on a 1/2 ratio with the rest of the A-lines. This facilitates easy use of the big ears while helping speed and stability while on bar. The speed system is light and simple without reflex really helping glide at speed.
Snap locks
Snap Locks are lightweight, compact attachments that effortlessly connect the breaks to the risers. A small focused magnet inside the catch and an internal locking system hold the handle in place, releasing only if the handles are pulled down towards the pilot. This unique design feature means the handles don't fall off while kiting, packing or performing manoeuvres. The Snap Lock system solved many of the problems associated with press-studs and magnets.
Beginner friendly
The highest levels of inherent stability and simplicity of use to make a new pilot’s first airborne steps as safe, fun and easy as possible.
Roller cam trimmerrs
The trimmers have new roller-cams which are slip-free, easy and smooth to operate while reducing wear on the webbing.
High or low hangpoint ready
In order to maximise versatility this wing caters to both low and high hangpoint paramotors. Brake pulley loops, tip-steering pulleys and snap locks are fitted for both positions, making the switch quick and easy.
Excellent Roll Behaviour
Designed for progressing pilots this glider has outstanding roll stability. Paragliders are inherently unstable on the ground, added roll stability makes the glider easier to launch and more comfortable in the air
Hybrid wing
Hybrid wings have EN/LTF and DGAC certification, making them ideal for pilots who fly both unpowered and powered. They have trimmer risers. They are DGAC certified with the trimmers in any position, but the trimmers should be closed for free flight to retain EN/LTF certification.
Elliptical Cell Openings
BGD have found that elliptical cell openings give better lower surface tension making for smoother inflation, and re-inflation after collapses.
Chord cut billow (CCB)
Chord Cut Billow technology has been developed to improve the form friction, glider stability and overall performance of BGD paragliders. Two seams run chord-wise across the top panels of the leading edge. They accommodate the panel ballooning that happens when the wing is inflated. Without CCB, up to five centimeters of excess material is created on the sides of an inflated flat panel when it bends over a wing profile. This results in wrinkles. Chord Cut Billow technology removes this excess material and the 3D panel has fewer ripples and improved rib profile shape and stability.
Progressive stability
Progressive stability has been designed into all our gliders to help pilots feel turbulence and avoid it. This makes for safer and more comfortable flying.
