The Bonanza 3 offers a whole new world of flying. Performance and speed has never been so accessible. The Bonanza 3 is Gin’s new 2 liner Sports Class wing for XC pilots featuring our Wave Leading Edge Technology, inspired by the tubercles of the humpback whale. The delaying of the separation point at high angles of attack increases aerodynamic efficiency — meaning you climb faster and with more control.

Designer's notes
Designer Gin Seok Song explains the concept behind the Bonanza 3:
The design goal was not to push to the absolute limits of the “C” category, but to make a real XC wing that would be a natural successor to the Bonanza 2. It was also important to consider pilots progressing from high B wings like the Explorer series. By realising the Bonanza 3 as a 2 liner and with the Wave Leading Edge technology from the Boomerang 12, we were actually able to reduce the aspect ratio slightly, which makes the wing nicer to fly and more accessible. Of course, to fly this wing pilots still need to be well-practiced in active recovery techniques for 2 liners.
Features
- Optimized profile with Equalized Pressure Technology (EPT) for stability and performance
- 2 risers for true rear riser steering
- Speed system with Harken pulleys
- Unsheathed aramid lines with optimized diameters
- Mini-ribs on the trailing edge
- Gathering (reefing) system on the trailing edge
- Semi-light Myungjin and light Porcher fabrics were selected for the ideal compromise between durability and light weight
Flybubble review
The Bonanza 3 paraglider has impressed me with its exceptional performance and user-friendly characteristics. As one of the five EN-C 2 liners I've flown, it stands out as the easiest to handle on the ground and in the air. While higher aspect ratio gliders tend to be more challenging on the ground, the Bonanza 3 maintains stability even in gusty and windy conditions. Its solid construction, particularly the Wave Leading Edge, contributes to its ease of ground handling and kiting capabilities.
Compared to other EN-C 2 liners, the Bonanza 3 excels in terms of forgiving stall characteristics. It allows for more brake input, making it easier to manage during stall situations. The glider's pitch stability and solid feel, without being dull or planky, further enhance its ground handling and kiting abilities. It is classified as a Mid C glider, catering to sports-class pilots seeking an EN-C sports class wing.
When it comes to launches, the Bonanza 3 shines with its forgiving nature, making successful launches more achievable for a wider range of pilots. For those transitioning to a more demanding wing, the Bonanza 3 presents a smoother transition compared to other models like the Niviuk Artik R, Ozone Photon, and AirDesign Volt 4. Its pilot demands are also relatively lower than its predecessor, the Bonanza 2.
In the air, the Bonanza 3 offers a solid and reassuring experience, providing a strong connection between the pilot and the glider. Although its agility is moderate, it performs exceptionally well in small, punchy thermals, allowing pilots to stay centered in tight cores. The climb rate and sink rate are impressive, even when loaded closer to the top end of the weight range. While other gliders like the Supair SAVAGE may offer slightly better climbing capabilities, the Bonanza 3 still ranks among the top climbers.
When encountering turbulence, chop, and active conditions, the Bonanza 3 maintains its reassuring and solid performance. It stays stable above the pilot's head and handles turbulence comfortably, with minimal movement. In terms of glide performance, the Bonanza 3 offers excellent reach and competes well with other top gliders in the C-class. It remains solid and efficient even when accelerated with the speed bar, providing a usable speed range that instills confidence in the pilot.
Descent techniques are also important considerations for those gliders, and the Bonanza 3 stands out as one of the most pilot-friendly options among EN-C 2 liners. It easily performs both Big Ears and B3s (tip stalls) with minimal effort and can be held in these configurations comfortably. While Big Ears can be somewhat flappy, the Bonanza 3 excels in tip stalls, making them the preferred descent method.
Overall, the Bonanza 3 is a remarkable paraglider that combines user-friendly handling with impressive performance. It stands out as an excellent choice for sports-class pilots looking to upgrade to an EN-C sports class wing. With its forgiving stall characteristics, solid construction, and overall ease of use, the Bonanza 3 provides a reliable and enjoyable flying experience.

Other reviews
The Bonanza 3 launches easily in nil wind and the rise is straightforward, without any hard point or delay. In stronger air above 20 km/h, it is also very easy to launch and quite manageable in correcting it if needed, and the take-off is very quick. The turning behavior and brake travel feel exactly similar to the Bonanza 3 which was excellent, but without the excessive movements that were on the B3. The brake travel is short to moderate with a more forgiving length. One of the strongest points of the B3 is the climb in very weak thermals, as it showed me a very good float ability in those small thermals. I think it is as efficient as the LT2 in that matter, putting it among the top gliders' efficiency in weak thermals. It feels as if the B3 holds into the weak thermal and embraces it.
Conclusion: Again, manufacturers are trying to deliver easy 2-liner C machines for newcomers to that class without being overwhelmed by excessive feedback. The Bonanza 3 follows that path with its pleasurable and comfortable feel. An EN-C pilot would feel at home under it.
