GIN-CONCERTINACOMP
Ideal for hike & fly use with lightweight gliders, the Gin Concertina Compress Bag is a lightweight concertina bag that combines easy packing with good compression for easier carrying.

The Concertina Compress Bag is ideal for hike-n-fly or travel, designed to be extremely lightweight at only 200g. The unique new folding and compression system not only helps to save packing space in your rucksack but works to improve the rigidity of the rucksack for a better hiking experience.

Please note that the Concertina Compress Bag is not intended for glider storage; high performance gliders in particular may be damaged if compressed excessively.

Sizes

  • 2.7m (65 x 30 cm)
  • 3.0m (70 x 33 cm)

Weight

  • 200g (2.7m size)

Comes in a neat little bag with drawstring.

Compatible wings guide

The Concertina Compress Bag works with all lightweight Gin gliders. There are 2 sizes, 3.0 and 2.7 meters, depending on the size and model of the pilots wing and the desired level of compression.

Recommended Bag size

Gin Yeti 4 XXS 2.7m 2.7m bag
Gin Yeti 4 XL 3.3m 3.0m bag (possible to fit in 2.7 with extra folding)
Gin Atlas Xalps XS 2.7m 2.7m (possible)
Gin Atlas Xalps XL 3.1m 3.0m recommended (larger leading edge)
Gin Explorer XXS 2.2m 2.7m bag
Gin Explorer S 2.4m 2.7m bag
Gin Explorer L 2.6m 2.7m bag (snug fit)
Gin Sprint 3 XXS 2.4m 2.7m (depends on leading edge)
Gin Sprint 3 XL 2.95m 3.0m bag (possible, not tested)

The Concertina Compress Bag also can be used with lightweight wings from other manufacturer. For example, it's been confirmed that the Advance Sigma 9 in size 25 (a semi-light wing without many wires weighing 4.9kg) fits easily in the 3m version.

The volume of the compress bag may be too small to be used with regular gliders. High performance gliders may be damaged if compressed depending on the pilots needs.

Large wings

Wings with a longer cord length than the compress bag can still be used. One extra step is needed to first fold the trailing edge to fit inside the bag.
