It's more than a Geo! Using design and construction techniques from our Performance Project wings (the LM5) and our UltraLite Range (the UL3), the new Geo 4 is an incredible 700g* less than its predecessor. Furthermore, it includes all of the performance improvements of the Buzz Z4 with the comfort and ease of use that has made it our most popular Buzz, ever. The Geo 4 is without question the most versatile and comfortable lightweight wing that we have ever built, and is ideal for a vast range of pilots seeking an all-around light wing with excellent comfort and ease of use in the Light-Intermediate class.
Our mission with the Geo4 was to retain the balance of comfort and agility and performance that has made the Z4 one of our all-time favourites, but reduce the weight and packing volume to make it an ideal wing for travel, long hikes, or even Vol-Biv and XC adventures. Ozone's research into light-wing construction began back in 2001 with the introduction of the Peak. Development continued with Ozone wings appearing in every X-Alps race since the first in 2003, and several vol-biv distance records set by Ozone Team pilots in the Himalayas. The Geo 4 incorporates all of the know-how and experience gained during the last 13 years of lightweight R&D.
The Geo4 is similar to the Geo3 and features the same amount of cells, same aspect ratio, and same planform, however there are many unseen features that have significantly increased performance whilst massively reducing weight and packing volume. Visible changes include a new intake shape; this aids inflation behaviour and reduces unwanted vibrations along with improving efficiency and pitch stability for better feel and better glide performance in real XC conditions. Performance has been further increased by reducing the overall line consumption by 13%. Thanks to construction techniques taken directly from the LM5 and UltraLite series, the Geo4 is 700g lighter than its predecessor!
The Geo 4's handling is intuitive, and centring on the lift has never been easier. The wing feels highly compact, with a perfect coordination of roll and yaw in the climb. In active air, the feedback from the wing is gentle and predictable; filtering air movements in an understandable way.
Thanks to the lighter overall construction, pilots will notice a significant improvement in overall performance compared to the Buzz Z4. Better comportment during launch, an extra-agile feel in thermals, and less overall sail inertia all contribute to a global performance upgrade compared to the Z4, with no sacrifice in passive safety.
The Geo4, like its predecessor is suitable for a wide range of pilots. With passive safety and comfort suitable for newer pilots and handling and glide performance for the more experienced, the Geo 4 is a highly capable and extremely versatile wing. In our opinion, it is perhaps the best all-around wing in our range, as it encompasses an incredible amount of comfort and solid performance for its category, all delivered in a lightweight and low-volume package. We can't wait to hear what you think, so please write to us and tell us about your flights with it.

RISER OPTIONS*
- Standard risers (webbing)
- Light risers (cord)
Specify which riser option you want when you place your order with us.
*Note: We recommend the standard webbing risers for most pilots as they are the easiest to handle, and the most durable. For those who are seeking to shave every possible gram of weight off of their pack, the light risers are available.
Colour Options
Standard Colours: Light Blue-White-Red; Light Green-White-Light Blue; Anthracite-White-Orange.
Custom Colours: Choose your custom colours here and then email us the Ozone Reference with your order.
UV RESISTANCE AND CLOTH COLOUR:
All of the cloth that we use undergoes extensive testing in prototype colour phase to ensure colourfastness, mechanical stability, porosity, and general longevity before we put it into production. Once our cloth is in production, every meter of it is rigorously inspected upon arrival in our factory, and cloth which does not pass our stringent quality control standards is returned to the manufacturer. We are frequently asked, "Which colours last the longest, or have the best UV resistance?". All of the colours that we stock score between 4 and 5 on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being the highest possible rating for longevity.
