CAYENNE6: sport class in perfection
Because sport class pilots spend many hours in the air, we paid special attention to the choice of materials. Our choice of lines results in an excellent mix of user-friendliness, low drag and durability. For the first time in paragliding, the CAYENNE6 uses the “TX-Light” material, which we developed in cooperation with a renowned manufacturer. The cloth, which was originally developed for surf kites that are extremely exposed to salt water and UV radiation, sets new standards in terms of aging- and tear- resistance.
High performance comfortably flown – these four words are probably the best way to describe the CAYENNE genes. The new CAYENNE6 is even more balanced than its predecessors and at home in all conditions. Welcome to the new sports class!
HOW DOES THE CAYENNE FLY?
Sport class means efficiency. That is why we have installed a highly efficient C-riser control system for the first time ever in a sport class glider. SPEED CONTROL, originally developed for our high-performance gliders, works with optimally positioned deflections not only on the C-, but also on the B-level. With ergonomic handles on the rear risers and a very smooth speedbar, the CAYENNE6 can be piloted efficiently and without fatigue like a competition glider even in demanding conditions. Performance-reducing deformations of the profile and pitching movements on bar are thus reduced to a minimum.
Inspired by our ultra-lightweight high performance X-ALPS4, the glider remains calm in the air and is extremely pitch stable. We have designed the sail tension so that the new sport class wing transmits brake line impulses and weight shift smoothly and directly. The control pressure is pleasantly low and the control travel is moderate, ideal for relaxed XC flying! The character of the CAYENNE6 is designed in such a way that the full performance potential of this sport class wing is easily accessible.
So, if you want to turn a good day into a perfect day, then test fly the new CAYENNE and experience sport class performance to perfection.
Features
JET FLAPS
Our JET FLAPS extend the green arc as you approach the stall point, which substantially increases safety and also improves climb performance.
C-WIRES
C-wires are nylon wires sewn into the glider over the anchor points of the C-level lines. Advantages: better load distribution, reduced drag, more performance.
MINI RIBS
Doubling the number of cells at the trailing edge increases its shape stability substantially. Advantage: fewer vortices improve the aerodynamics and with it the performance.
RIGID FOIL
The Rigid Foil nylon wires on the leading edge help maintain its shape and ensure constant ram air pressure. Advantages: better takeoff behavior, more performance and lower canopy weight.
3D-SHAPING
A precise calculation of the leading edge geometry and the installation of an additional strip of fabric reduce wrinkling in this sensitive part of the glider. Advantages: exact wing shape, more performance.
3 LINE LEVELS
The 3-line-level concept reduces the number of lines and the resulting drag. Advantages: more performance and a better overview at launch.
SHARK NOSE
Together with a corresponding wing design, the shark nose technology improves pressure distribution in the canopy substantially. Advantages: much more solid flying feeling and substantial performance gain, especially when gliding on bar.
SPEED CONTROL
Handle on rear riser which allows the pilot to even out turbulence, speed and pitch while flying on speed bar without having to release the speed bar.

*TX-Light: In addition to the proven double ripstop threads, the TX-Light has two additional reinforcing threads woven into the center of the existing ripstop weave. These additional reinforcing threads increase tear resistance by 30 percent and at the same time improve stretch properties in the diagonal direction. The unique combination of polyurethane and silicone coating makes the fabric extreme resistant to aging.
Pilot feedback
"A machine that puts a smile on my face every time I fly it."

Review
"In summary, from all my testing, I've found the CAYENNE6 to be a surprisingly comfortable and reassuring LTF/EN C certified sports wing, best-suited to stronger flying conditions, with real-world pilot demands around the middle of the class.
It performs best in stronger conditions, not weaker ones. In strong conditions it feels powerful, drawn up into the thermal with little pitch, and is easy to manage. It's also surprisingly comfortable when fully accelerated. However, in weaker conditions I found I was struggling to find, and climb in, the weak lift, and felt repeatedly disadvantaged compared to other wings.
I flew its predecessor a lot, including my longest UK XC distance so far (244km), so I know that very well. These are two very different wings, best-suited to very different pilots! I expect that most pilots who loved the CAYENNE5 will be disappointed. However, pilots who found it too demanding will likely much prefer the new version.
I feel the CAYENNE6 is best suited to either pilots stepping up from a high B wing, looking for a good but sensible upgrade for their first sports wings, or down from a high C or low D, looking for more comfort without losing too much performance. These pilots will appreciate the excellent ratio of high performance to low pilot demands it offers."
