LEAF 2 LIGHT: ultra-light adventurer
Light … and durable! As a pioneer in paragliding light gear, SUPAIR put all its knowledge and experience in developing this Leaf 2 Light. Targeting pilots who want to own a "go-to" glider, Supair chose fabrics with the greatest sturdiness to weight ratio.
The use of Porcher Sport Skytex 27 (simple and double-coated) allowed to reduce the weight by 25% (compared to the standard version) without impacting the glider longevity. There is no lightness versus durability debate anymore! Untangling becomes easy thanks to a simplified line layout and inflating the glider is smooth and gradual.
In flying conditions, you will find what made Supair LEAF 2 a success: instinctive handling and steady behaviour in thermals. Effortless and intuitive flying awaits! So much so that you will put all resources in adapting your flight plan or contemplating the landscape.
Mountain flying, hike & fly or thermal flying on your favourite site. The LEAF 2 LIGHT is ideal for the pilot who needs one glider they will know off pat.

Designer Notes
“The LEAF 2 LIGHT is in our opinion a true “pocket tool”. Easy, fun, compact, light, performant…This glider will follow you no matter the activity (on-site, thermal flying, etc.).
If you have already flown a LEAF 2, you will love the LEAF 2 Light’s flying behaviour: easier handling, playful and more precise feedback. An optimised and cleaner line layout allows less drag and better performance.
The LEAF 2 LIGHT is slightly heavier than the LEAF LIGHT due to choices we made regarding the fabric. The extrados fabric is a double-coated Skytex 27gr from Porcher Sport that gives this glider better durability characteristics.”

LEAF 2 LIGHT paraglider reviews
I really enjoyed the wing and think it's a great progression wing for everyone stepping up from their school glider. It's very easy to fly so you can concentrate on what really matters. Yet there is still a lot of fun to be had with it and all (SIV) maneuvers work flawlessly.
Simple launch preparation and behaviour (colour coded, sheathed lines; light fabric. Low energy collapses and soft recovery. Undemanding and relaxing character in tricky XC conditions; gives you room to concentrate on decision making instead of flying. Accelerator easy to push and wing stays very stable.
Well done progression wing you can use for a long time after your first EN-A.

LEAF 2 paraglider reviews
LEAF 2 LIGHT is the light version of the LEAF 2.
If you drew a curve of pilot ability for the Progression class, and represented all the things you’d want in a wing at that level, the LEAF 2 is exactly at the mid-point of that curve, so yes in that way it is ‘average’ but only because it matches this group perfectly.
It is absolutely simple to launch and control on the ground. It is easy to fly, undemanding, and quite responsive enough to catch thermals and enjoy your soaring. It doesn’t pitch in lumpy air and has great pitch dampening. It doesn’t roll on its own, you have to turn it, and then roll is limited. I have no concerns about trying to line up only the ‘right’ beginners on this wing. Anyone can fly it.
It helps you on the launch site and it offers just enough control response to keep more experienced pilots engaged as they cruise around on this relaxing wing.

Flybubble Supair LEAF 2 paraglider video review:
"I experienced several very enjoyable flights on the LEAF 2 in spring-like weather conditions. Usually flying EN D gliders, I was not expecting such performance from a "true" EN B wing.
I found the LEAF 2 user friendly, efficient, safe and very pleasant to fly. On launch, the glider inflates gradually and uniformly. The simplified line layout reduces the chances of cravates.
Flying the LEAF 2 is very instinctive. The glider responds well to pilot inputs, with great precision. The long brake travel allows greater room for manoeuvre. This is a significant advantage when flyiing out from launch, top landing at low speeds or controlling the glider in turbulence, for example."
- Julien Hugues-dit-Ciles, experienced XC pilot
