RECCO reflector
- The RECCO detector emits a directional radar signal, like the beam of a flashlight
- When the radar signal hits the RECCO reflector, it is echoed back to the detector and points the rescuer in the direction of the pilot.
- The closer the detector gets to the reflector, the stronger the returned-signal, ultimately allowing the rescuer to pinpoint the pilot's location.
Cutting-edge safety systems
The emergency parachute container under the seat is designed for a maximum 5.2 litre volume, suitable for most emergency chutes.
The Crest comes complete with its rescue handle attached to its deployment bag

FAQ
How do I attach the leg straps?
The leg straps have a green right loop and a red left loop and you simply have to wear your Crest and then secure each loop to the main carabiner of the same color. Once the loops are in, the words LEFT and RIGHT must be facing inwards.
What is the elastic of the speed bar for?
The speed bar is very light and the wind would push it back during flight. The foot elastic enables you to have the speed bar always at reach.
Flybubble review
This is a review of the Woody Valley CREST harness and AP191 rucksack combo.
The biggest difference between reversible harnesses in Woody Valley range is that Crest, other than it being the lightest and the lowest cost is that it is a split-leg harness. Of all the light reversible harnesses that have an integrated backpack, seems like the Crest may be the lightest of all. I've actually flown in this harness quite a bit now. I've been a very, I've really enjoyed flying with it. In terms of how it is to fly with, it's on the more weight-shifty side. It's not a very stable harness. Some harnesses, definitely more stable like the Supair Altirando LITE. I think overall, this is a harness that's gonna appeal more to pilots who you like things a bit more on the weight-shifty and responsive side, rather than pilots who want something more stable, and kind of solid and reassuring feeling. You can definitely fly cross country with his harness, and use the speed system, and the comfort level is very good. This is a harness I would use the speed system on more, than I would with some other light mountain harnesses or reversible harnesses like this. When the glider moves in the air currents, you do feel a little bit like your legs move slightly independently of each other, and that gives you a different feeling. I think it takes a little bit of getting used to.
So relatively speaking, how's the Crest compared to other lightweight split-leg harnesses? Let's speak about in-flight. I've found the comfort is relatively very good. It's one of the most comfortable of the lightweight split-leg harnesses, even when I flew for a longer amount of time. I think where pilots are gonna feel it more, literally, is on the ground, when you're with this kind of split-leg harness, and actually it's also the Get-Up system. The Get-Up system has the advantage of having just two connection points to clip in. Due to this design, going down into a certain kind of sensitive area, then you can feel that it pinches quite a bit there, especially on the ground in. You can definitely use this kind of harness for ground handling. But I tend to not recommend it so much if you're looking for a harness just for ground handling. Just for normal flying when you do some ground handling, and stand around waiting for the wind, and ground handle a bit, I find it fine. Across my back, you feel a little bit some pressure points where the straps attach, but actually not much. So the Crest really offers a great balance between weight and comfort.
There's a really nice, easy adjustment for the waist strap, and there's a nice little metal toggle there that you can pull, and actually really easy to do in-flight. I've also found it's not slipping at all, very smooth. Reserve container is the 5.2 litres. It is definitely better suited to a lightweight and compact reserve. My preferred way of getting in the harness is I actually leave everything attached. Only thing I undo is my chest strap.
