Designed to understand pilots needs, the Artik 4 will let you extraordinary piloting sensations and stress-less soaring in maximum comfort during extended flights.

The aim with Artik 4 was give answer to most important requests of EN C pilots. That is why we have worked on making handling easier and heighten the performance while keeping safety our top priority.

The first thing you will notice under the Artik 4 is the softer inflation followed by the capacity for the glider to take off serenely.

The profile has also been modified and includes the RAM Air Intake technology to keep the glider steady in any situation. Additionally, it transmits clear information to the pilot to let him focus on the pleasure of flying.

With its superb gliding even when fully accelerated, the Artik 4's efficiency could be compared to an EN D glider but yet, with the handling abilities as an EN C wing.

Piloting it is intuitive in all sense; allowing the pilot to make instant corrective decisions even in strong thermal conditions.

When pushed out, the speed bar is an efficient implement for a smooth, stable and yet strong acceleration throughout the whole travel range and hence producing an excellent sink rate as a result. The glider turns more precisely and effortlessly. Having it all under control you can then, make better decisions to truly enjoy the flight.

A whopping 8,77% in weight reduction demonstrates the effort and accomplishment made to reduce the glider inner bulk and profile resulting, more performance, enhanced safety and comfort.

The Artik 4 will cover your needs 365 days a year. It is our all around Grand Touring glider.

Artik 4 Technology

SLE (Structured Leading Edge)

The SLE provides more rigidity and stability along the span of leading edge but also allows full flexibility along the both the vertical and horizontal axis of each open cell. It ensures ease of movement on the ground, easier launches and high security in the air during turbulence, and whilst flying at speed.

RAM (Ram Air Intake)

The RAM air intake allows an optimal position for the air intakes (below the leading edge of the glider aligned with the under surface) to gain turbulent air absorption in the leading edge, more consistency in variable speed and a better performance while assuring maximum security.

DRS (Drag Reduction Structure)

The trailing edge has been reinforced with small ribs that make this part flatter in order to spread the pressure out evenly. It means better air-flow and less drag on this important part of the glider. The addition of these ribs gives the Artik 4 exceptional handling (better and more efficient when turning) and more control and precision.

3 LT (3 Liner Technology)

Its powerful profile, a detailed internal architecture structure and the use of high-tech strength materials make possible a significant reduction of the total length of suspension lines in order to reduce the parasite resistance and the weight of the glider to gain efficiency.

Jérémie Lager: "Flying with the Artik4 was a pleasure! The glider's design and construction gave me a great sense of self-assurance and safety from the start! On takeoff the Artik 4 feels as light as mountain wings! In the air you can easily feel the air activity! Handling is precises and gives the pilot a lot of confidence. You can easily exploit weak thermals with agility! In stronger conditions, you will discover the Artik 4's power and stability assets for pure flying enjoyment!"

Anna Ermakova: "I started flying in June of 2010. While flying my previous glider I lost all confidence in myself as a pilot. I knew it was necessary to change the wing and I became interested in the Artik 4. After a few hours under it, I realized that the wing could be trusted. The Artik 4 gave me back my confidence in flight; I really liked its handling and performance. When I began to fly the wing, I could not believe my luck. My average flight time increased and I was flying farther and farther away with each new adventure. I became less fatigued in the air and could launch from more difficult takeoff spots. During the last eight months, I spent over 230 hours in the skies under my Artik 4 and subsequently beat my personal records over and over again: first in Bulgaria (141 km – free flight), then in India (162 km – free triangle), now in Colombia (93 km - FAI triangle).The Artik 4 has given me the opportunity to keep up with and learn from more advanced pilots.
