EASINESS 4: lightweight reversible harness
- 200g lighter than the previous version despite new features
- Significantly enhanced overall comfort
- Fully integrated airbag
- Multifunctional, X-Alps tested rucksack shoulder straps
- Available in two colour combinations
Around 200g lighter, noticeably more comfortable and now available in two colours
Targeted optimisations in the choice of materials and adjustments to the design allow a considerable weight saving of 10% with the same durability. The increased comfort results from a revised lumbar support and additional side panelling with a zip pocket. The EASINESS 4 is now available in two modern colours: coral red and dusted purple.
Even larger target group
With the EASINESS 4, Advance are offering an even more versatile all-rounder thanks to the many new features. As a lightweight reversible harness, it is suitable for both beginners and advanced pilots, and is perfect for hike & fly adventures, extended thermal flights and as a compact companion when travelling.
10% WEIGHT REDUCTION
Targeted optimisations in material selection and construction adjustments result in significant weight savings without compromising durability. Applying the DLS philosophy of our paragliders to a harness: the
EASINESS 4 is up to 200 g lighter than its predecessor, positioning it among the lightest in its class.
MAXIMUM COMFORT
The EASINESS 4 offers noticeably enhanced comfort thanks to several innovations: the enlarged and ergonomically designed side lumbar support, the revised strap system,
and the repositioned speed bar pulley ensure a comfortable sitting position during both normal and accelerated flights. The new side panels improve overall comfort by significantly reducing wind chill. This makes the EASINESS 4 even more suitable for longer flights.
Airbag-Protector: FULLY INTEGRATED AIRBAG
The airbag is now permanently attached to the harness, making the product simpler and easier to handle. Feedback showed that the EASINESS 3 version without an airbag and with a backside cover was rarely used. The reserve parachute container remains integrated into the airbag, and when using a
front container, it can be sealed with a dummy closure cable.
COMPLETELY REDESIGNED BACKPACK
The fully redesigned backpack now provides enhanced carrying comfort with X-Alps tested features like functional shoulder straps and an improved hip belt. The contents, including the paraglider, create tension for stability and comfort on the back, meaning the backpack doesn't require a pre-shaped back panel. This approach makes the equipment lighter and more compact.
Backpack: SIMPLICITY OVER VOLUME: THE LOAD-SHAPING APPROACH
Chrigel Maurer's insight:
"Pre-shaped, padded back panels on backpacks may look appealing and give the impression of comfort, but they unnecessarily add volume and weight. My experience from eight X-Alps competitions shows that the simplest, most compact and lightweight solution for stiffness and padding is to use the contents of the backpack, such as the paraglider and harness. The packed equipment creates the necessary tension, providing stability. For backpack weights up to around 15kg, this approach offers clear advantages over more complex back systems: the pack is lighter, less bulky, and the centre of gravity is closer to the back."

OPTIMISATIONS
Specific improvements have been made to the EASINESS 4, with size-specific adjustments. For size L, the leg pads have been slightly extended for better support. The size S backpack has also been refined: the hip belt is smaller, and the back length has been shortened. These modifications particularly benefit pilots of larger or smaller body sizes.
