Our experience of running trips in South Africa...
Carlo was born in South Africa and has run many very successful paragliding XC courses all over the country, especially in the Western Cape, Kwazulu Natal and Mpumalanga provinces, and has worked together with many top South African schools and pilots over the years. He has held many local site records from many South African sites, and flown in over a dozen top level South African paragliding competitions around the country, especially Porterville / Dasklip pass, so knows the place and the flying conditions better than most!
What level of pilot is this trip aimed at?
The conditions in this area tend to be strong and the launches are generally quite demanding, so this trip is aimed at more experienced pilots who are looking to further their thermalling and XC flying skills and don't require instruction.
Price - What's Included & Not...
2 weeks - £900 per person
This includes:
- Airport collection and return on specified day and time (exact details to be confirmed).
- Good hotel accommodation, with breakfast
- Transport to take off from our hotel and retrieve along the days chosen XC route, with driver
- Daily brief on take off regarding weather conditions and flying for the day
- Radio guidance in-flight
- Theory sessions (optional) and your questions answered
What's not included:
- Flights which are approximately £600 plus taxes, we usually find the best price for the flights for each trip and then reserve flights for the individual to pay for directly.
We prefer if everyone is on the same flight, but we understand this is not always possible as pilots come from all over the World. All we ask is that everyone is at the arrival airport at the same time, or earlier than the main group arrival time for the airport transfer.
- Lunches and dinner, although we will recommend and take you to some excellent places!
