Niviuk Peak 2 in Bassano
The Peak 2 continues to impress pilots throughout the world with its continued success in Serial class (EN-D) competitions. The 2011 Montegrappa Trophy was held in Bassano, Italy, between 21st and 25th April with the final winners podium being entirely occupied by three Peak 2. Chasing those positions were another three Peak 2s who also finished within the top eleven. In competitions or cross country flying this is another superb example of the Peak 2 performance and doing what it does best, winning!
Italian pilot Marco Tofani stated: “I come from an EN-C wing and I find the Peak 2 a very easy and safe wing”.
Claudio Mancino also expressed his opinion saying: “the Peak 2 has no rival when flying upwind. I had the opportunity to check this during the Montegrappa Trophy. Regarding security it is on the same level as any EN-C glider but it is actually an EN-D! It is easier to fly than the first Peak and there is no better feeling than pushing the first and second speed bar pedal and getting close to the comp wings. Undoubtedly the Peak 2 is the EN-D wing with the most performance on the market today”.
Piergiorgio Pintossi said the Peak 2 “is the perfect combination of performance and security”.
Congratulations to Italian pilots Guglielmi Vinicio, Zanocco Damiano and Cristoforetti Samuel who all on their Peak 2 gliders completed a comprehensive clean sweep of the winners podium in this years Montegrappa Trophy.
